hey guys, a video criticizing our project came out recently. we appreciate the attention to our work, but we really want to address a few major misconceptions and be totally honest about how our development actually works
about ai: we used it only for the very first teaser just to pitch the concept fast. thats it. also, i used an ai translator/formatter for discord during the day-one rush because the server blew up and i couldnt keep up. now that things calmed down, zero ai is used. the script, models, art, rigs, voices - everything is 100% handmade by our team
about backup au / "stolen" designs: i hadnt even seen backup au until our first teaser came out. respect to their work, but putting a muzzle on a character with a floating mouth isnt a unique idea, its a pretty obvious design trope. same with swapping caine head for a bubble. parallel thinking happens, no one stole anything
about glitch: were a 100% non-commercial fan project. we love glitch and arent trying to pretend to be official (we fixed that label a while ago). just fans making cool stuff like everyone else on youtube
look, im just being completely honest with you guys and admitting where i actually used ai, and ive been open about it from the start. so i dont really get where all this hate is coming from. you can go watch my short film goodbye digital circus, read the comments from people who were genuinely touched by it. if you honestly think that script was written by ai, then i dont even know what to tell you. i genuinely love tadc. i cant promise a masterpiece, but together with my future team, i promise to do everything in my power to make this great
