🚨 Prasad Institute of Medical Sciences, Lucknow: Students’ Protest Update

Today, hundreds of students from Prasad Institute of Medical Sciences (PIMS), Lucknow staged a protest on Kanpur Road against the college administration over several issues related to hostel rules, student welfare, and campus management.

According to a memorandum submitted by the students, their major demands include:

✅ Removal of restrictions on students’ movement in and out of the campus.
✅ Better campus facilities such as a gym, cafeteria, hygiene, and other basic amenities.
✅ Respectful behavior from staff and wardens towards medical students.
✅ Freedom for students to visit their homes without unnecessary restrictions.
✅ Reduced interference of hostel wardens in students’ personal matters.
✅ Allegations that students were locked inside hostel rooms during the protest.
✅ Action against the alleged use of abusive language by the hostel warden.
✅ Objections to the detention policy, which students describe as unlawful.
✅ Removal of hidden charges and improved transparency.
✅ Permission for local students to stay at or visit their own homes.

The students have stated that these restrictions were not clearly mentioned during admission and have appealed to the authorities to review the existing policies.

As future doctors, students deserve:

* A safe and respectful campus environment.
* Transparent administration.
* Open communication between management and students.
* A peaceful resolution through constructive dialogue.
