#IssaRae’s latest move isn’t just another project - it’s a clear signal of where mainstream storytelling is headed. With her company Hoorae Media teaming up with TikTok to launch the microdrama series “Screen Time,” she’s tapping directly into how audiences actually consume content today: fast, mobile, and on-demand.
Announced during TheWrap’s Creators x Hollywood Summit, the series reflects a growing reality - traditional, shared TV moments are fading. The era where everyone tuned in to the same cable show at the same time is largely behind us. Now, storytelling lives everywhere: on streaming platforms, inside short-form videos on Instagram and TikTok, and across social feeds where content is constant and personalized.
“Screen Time” embraces that shift. Built as a bite-sized, high-intensity microdrama, it follows a double-date movie night that unravels when an unexpected intruder forces everyone to confront their secrets. The format is tight, fast, and engineered for how people scroll and watch today.
By leaning into short-form, mobile-first storytelling, Rae isn’t catching up - she’s getting ahead. This kind of content won’t feel new for long ... it’s about to be the norm.

As #NASA readies its next lunar mission, a family in North Texas is beaming with pride, knowing their relative is about to etch his name into the history books.
The Artemis II mission features a four-person crew embarking on a 10-day expedition around the moon. This represents humanity's furthest venture into space in over half a century. At the helm as pilot is #VictorGlover, who will make history as the first Black astronaut to journey into deep space.
For his cousin, Aneesha Ross, watching his trajectory has been a powerful experience. “Seeing him grow up and be the man that he is, is absolutely phenomenal,” Ross said.
The Mission at a Glance:
The spacecraft will cover approximately 700,000 miles, performing a lunar loop before heading home. This mission serves as a critical stepping stone for NASA’s long-term goal of re-establishing a human presence on the moon's surface.
For Glover himself, the significance of the "first" comes with a hope for a more integrated future. He noted in a past interview: “I also hope that we are pushing the other direction, that one day we don’t have to talk about these firsts,” he said.
A Legacy of Pride:
While the world watches the technical achievement, his family is focused on the personal milestone. The gravity of the moment isn't lost on them, even if it's difficult to articulate. “To make that history and be in our family, it is just … words really can’t explain,” Ross said.
