Walking Under the Acacias

Today I walked side by side with a Maasai chief under the tall acacia trees, learning secrets of nature that only the land can teach.

He showed me how every tree, every plant, every footprint has a story.

The acacia is more than shade, it’s food for giraffes, medicine for people, and a shelter for birds.

The wind, the soil, the sky… all connected in ways I’m only beginning to understand.

Moments like this remind me that conservation isn’t new, it’s wisdom carried through generations by people who have always lived with the wild, not against it.
