We learned something recently and any deer hunter can learn from this too. Mossberg was on a collaboration a few weeks back with Wildlife Investments as we looked at how to set up a property for increased deer engagement. One key truth we took away was that a property that has some recreation - let's say fishing areas - or a creek to play in - or maybe small cattle operations ... if ... you want deer to use it consistently ... then designate an area that is off limits to anything but deer activity. This is NOT the same thing as a "sanctuary" concept but more so the idea that a land owner or hunter can segment the property as a zone and create better habitat than going with "multi-use" approaches.

So here's a question for those of you who want a duck dog one day or already have one. What types of things do you look for or desire in hiring a trainer? Would you put those in the comment section? It'll help everybody.
