Regular reminder to creators that it's good to change thumbnails for videos that youre trying to give life too. Sometimes your video is bad... sometimes you just haven't found the right thumbnail.
People will complain but they dont run your channel and usually have no idea what they're talking about.
Often when there's a "white person doea a racism" moment i tend to have no desire to comment cause others will say everything i have on the topic and it's an ongoing never ending conversation. But Prof Skye actually added something useful specifically for white folks to hear from "one of the good ones" which is THERE ARE NO GOOD ONES. and that's ok
As we come down from Mamdani mania this week and switch gears into holding power accountable and engaging with useful criticism around him and all associated with him, remember that YouTube and other forms of content are not an endpoint, they're at best a starting point.
If you want to be entertained and informed watch a video or listen to a podcast. If you want solutions then find an organization to join/support/fund. Entertainment =/= solutions and anyone who swears they know the solution in their podcast or video essay or live stream is either misguided or purposely misguiding you.
My videos too depressing sometimes... well research shows that irl political engagement improves mental wellbeing. Don't get stuck here or anywhere, it's not good for you.
