Happy Friday! SO some news- you guys totally cleaned me out of the end grain cutting boards! The last one sold a few days ago! 

I just finished up my last market for the year last night, croaking my way through it with my crackly voice, lol, so I have I think about 7 boards (edge grain and face grain) left that I'll be popping up on the website hopefully this weekend so that if anyone wants them as gifts, there should be time to get them out to you. So keep an eye out for that. 

I have, I think, about a dozen coaster pairs left on the site (down from over 40!) so you all have been amazing with your support, and I hope you're enjoying your goodies. They were definitely made with love.

Once the holidays are over with and we get into 2026, I'm hoping to spend some time each month making some new ones, as I really enjoy the process, and it's the perfect way to keep scraps and offcuts out of the landfill (or fireplace, lol).

My goal is to eventually sell enough to fund an 8" jointer to add to the shop, which will make the process so much easier and open up a whole NEW world of opportunities.

It seems like both yesterday AND a lifetime ago that I put my very first video up and zero expectations of what that would mean. lol

Initially, I started my channel simply to document the flip by flip inner workings of someone refinishing unwanted furniture. I never really imagined it would grow to what it is today.

A heartfelt thank you to everyone who has been with me on this journey, whether you’ve been here the whole time, popped in and out of my radar over the years, or just found me recently- every single one of you have impacted my life in some way.

Ok.. so I’m ready to do a soft launch on the Shopify storefront. I haven’t used Shopify before, and all the new cross border duties going the other way are an extra curveball, so I’m learning as I go.

Please be patient with me if I have to work out any kinks. I know Canada is good to go, but I have no way to pre-test for the US folks and beyond except to just try it. I don’t have any coasters or cutting boards on there yet, as I need to make sure everything is working properly first, before I add those extra complications, lol, but if anyone is looking for a cap or a tee, mug, etc, it should be ready to go.

I’m using a different fulfillment company for the website than I was for YouTube- it’s also print on demand, so can take a little bit longer than a normal order from a store but so far, seems to be faster than Spring. If all goes well with the soft launch, I’ll be switching the linked store on YouTube to my Shopify page as well, and then can finally get the coasters and other handmade items on there too. :-)

Depending on where you are, extra duties may apply (as you all know by now). For example, I ordered some stuff for myself to test the process- the hat was fulfilled in Canada, and I obviously didn’t have any extra duties of course. But my tee and hoodie were fulfilled in the US and crossed the border so I had extra fees related there. All three items were ordered at the same time but the way it works is they are produced and shipped from whichever centre can handle the order the fastest. So… I’m relying on your feedback for this process!
