I bought every retro game ever. It's a good thing I backed them all up because all the originals were destroyed in a fire.

Check it out! The TechDweeb-ES-DE theme just got a couple spiffy new gamelist view modes. A box art with title text view (this would be great for an Android "Steam Deck Mini" setup), and a screenshot flow view mode (I love this one!). Also, there's a new "Black Sludge" colourization option that is great for OLED screens. Update your TD theme in ES-DE to get the new stuff!

(Thank you, as always, to Anthony Caccese for his expert help making this work!)

Here's a photo of my final tier list! This is the scientifically proven definitive 100% objective indisputable ranking of all the 2025 doodads. Don't believe me? Check out the video! https://youtu.be/D4ISK5nCQQ0

I'd love to know your rankings. Which doodads did you get this year, and how do they rank for you?

This is super cool! The ES:DE legend Ant made neat little app for reading game guides and manuals on your phone (just iOS for now, but maybe Android someday?). Love this idea!

~ SKYRIM NO VOICE FIX ~

If you've had a hard time getting the voices to work in Skyrim on Gamehub, here's how I did it! I am running the original version of Skyrim (not sure about SE). This same fix should also work for other games in the same engine (like the Fallout games). This is what I did on my AYN Thor, but I tested on multiple devices.

Open the "PC Game Settings" for Skyrim
Component > Install Component
- Install Mono (open source dot net dependencies) and Gecko
General > Open Container Desktop
- Navigate to X:\DirectX10\
- Run DXSETUP.exe
- Once that's completed, use the Apps menu to Shutdown

Here's the rest of my settings in case you need em:
Compatibility Layer: proton10.0-arm64x-2
Translation Params: Extreme
GPU Driver: turnip_v26.0.0_R2
DXVK Version: dxvk-2.3.1-async
VKD3D Version: vk3d-2.12
Steam: steam_9866233

That's it! Now you can listen to all of Sven's relationship problems without subtitles like a chump.

I've had a few questions about how I get Megabonk working as well as I have. Most of what you need to know is in my GUIDE https://youtu.be/sqptnpn_NWQ where I show you how to get the best performance and compatibility out of your PC games. But there is one extra trick for Megabonk.

MY SETTINGS (on the Ayn Thor):
~ Run the game in DX 11 mode (to prevent crashes). It gives you this option when you launch the game (or check the game settings if you disabled the message)
~ Compatibility Layer: Proton10.0-x64-1
~ Translation Params: Extreme
~ GPU Driver: Turnip_v26.0.0_R1
~ DXVK Version: dxvk-v2.7.1-1-async
~ CPU Translator: Box64-0.37-b2

~ Native Rendering+: Enabled (this is via the in-app menu while a game is running)

!!!EXTRA TRICK!!!
~ This was suggested by someone in my YouTube comments (thank you whoever it was!).
~ Set the INPUT DELAY to 0 in the in-game settings. This will get you an extra 20% or so more FPS

Using these settings you should be getting around 100 fps on the Thor in-game (or 140 in the main menu for comparison)

Now go forth and bonk you glorious dork!

The new RETROID POCKET 6 and G2 is available to pre-order with earlybird pricing NOW!

The RP6 is going to be Retroid's new flagship device, with a Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 (a beast of a chip!). New form factor, screen, and probably other hardware too. The G2 is an updated version of the RP5, same hardware, just with an updated more powerful chip (Snapdragon G2 Gen 2, early reports claim about twice the performance of the Snapdragon 865 in the current RP5). New colours too!

The prices they're going for are kinda crazy affordable (especially with the earlybird pricing), which is weird considering how everything else seems to be getting more expensive these days! I'm personally going to order an RP6 and skip the G2, but if you don't have an RP5 yet the G2 is an amazing device for the price.

If you're thinking about getting one, I would be SUPER grateful if you'd consider using my links. Stuff like this helps me keep the lights on and the root beer flowin'!

I was there, so I know it's true, but you weren't so you'll just have to take my word for it.
