Tax Freeze Command

This weekend, I was at a creator event, #Vidfest2025. It is the first live creator event I've ever attended. It was conveniently in Atlanta. A fellow attendee ‪@EdVenturesVlog‬ ‬continuously livestreamed his entire experience for over 10 hours at a time. It was mind-blowing to me. It was a live reality show on both Twitch and Youtube courtesy of his two streaming accounts. As Ed explained to me, I (among others) was a recurring character because I made several appearances and conversations on camera.

It was a new experience for me. I never intentionally inserted myself into his livestreams but I was genuinely curious, fascinated, and in awe what he was doing in front of all of us the entire 3 days. I also found Ed smart, insightful, interesting, and just an all-around likable guy.

During the course of 3 days, when I saw him, I would say hello to him. But when I did, he would always be recording. I was initially a bit cautious but I decided to just relax and go along for the ride.

It's one thing to read or hear about IRL live streaming but it is another thing to be there live and participating first hand. It was a fun and interesting experience. I am grateful to ‪@EdVenturesVlog‬ ‬for including me as part of the 3-day experience.

Tax Freeze Command

I did an analysis on the overall picture of property tax appeals in Georgia. Based on my analysis (with some help from AI) using the most recent publicly reported data, these are my early findings:

1. There were nearly 4.6 million assessed parcels in 2022.
2. The value of these assessed parcels was over $1.35 trillion in 2022.
3. There were nearly 121,000 property tax appeals filed in Georgia in 2022.
4. That means a measly 2.6% of Georgia parcels were appealed in 2022.

To give some context, there are still a few Georgia counties STILL trying to close out their 2024 tax appeal season. 2025 tax appeal season has begun in a few early GA counties.

I have temporarily stopped sales of the print version of my book, "TAX FREEZE: How to File & Win Property Tax Appeals in Georgia" on Amazon. Because of HB 581 and my most recent experiences, I need time to update my book to have the latest information. I expect my book will be updated by May 2025. Georgia's HB 581 is going to change the 2025 property tax appeal process. In the weeks to come, I will be sharing my predictions of how it will be changed. Additionally, based on my experiences with the 2024 tax appeal season along with HB 581, I will be making all-new videos specifically for 2025. As usual, it will take a private citizen to do the county government's job of educating the public.



I will be revealing the insane salaries chief appraisers make and the hypocrisy of what they put small property owners and small landlords through. You will be DISGUSTED when I reveal what I have uncovered. What I uncover will be verifiable.



The lies and what is being suppressed from the public is DISGUSTING. Make no mistake, tax assessments are political, and I will explain how and why in the weeks to come. I never wanted to believe it. But having dealt with over 250 appeals across 6 counties for over a dozen years, I have been forced to accept what I have long denied to myself.



And providers of property tax appeal services? I got things to say about them too! There is a racket going on to NOT educate the public. Many hide behind corporate names with very little transparency. Some are running a sham operation or misleading uninformed property owners. How do I know this? Because I've had a client show me what they paid thousands of dollars for. I've received and seen blind letters from tax appeal servicers, and what they are peddling. Clients do not know what to look for when they hire someone. They don't know if they're servicer is actually doing a good job or not because the details are obscured.

This channel, Tax Freeze Command, is an offshoot of my main channel, MattCommand youtube.com/@mattcommand1. As of June 2024, I stopped uploading property tax appeal videos there and began uploading new property tax appeal videos here. I didn't want my main channel to get overrun with tax appeal or tax-related videos which would ultimately hurt that channel.

On this channel, I can get into property taxes, tax appeals, IRS tax issues, and other similar financial-technical topics that would otherwise bore or run off subscribers on my main channel.
