I gave a talk at the Preventing Overdiagnosis Conference recently and some people asked if it would be available online. If you’re very bored and have nothing to do, have a watch! NB this is aimed at a medical audience, the attendees were mostly doctors, especially GPs, who are worried (like me) about the rising tide of overdiagnosis and overtreatment in medicine. I’m afraid I left writing the talk to the very last minute so it’s not so polished, and I messed up my timings as I hadn’t had a chance to practice it, so had to jump over a few slides towards the end. Truth be told one of the earlier speakers ran over and my talk was the very last one of the whole conference so I was very conscious of not delaying people getting on their planes and trains home. If you have any questions you can ask me on bluesky and I’d be happy to answer. I will try to check back here too but I’m not great in general with staying up to speed with social media at all these days…not a bad thing tbh!

I have actually been there a while but I saw ‪@LegalEagle‬ shamelessly promoting his frankly far inferior bluesky account and I’ll be gosh darn dangled if I let a lawyer get one over on me, at least not since that malpractice case. For the record, ‘pathology lab mukbang’ was NOT my idea and the court agreed. Anyway, follow me for more heart-based fascism. I will post a banner picture at some point, maybe.
