Hi! I'm Birdie. It's really nice to meet you. This is mostly a vlog. I currently live in a van, partly cause this economy is rude as can be and partly cause I have some pretty serious brain crud (aka mental illness). So I talk about that kind of stuff, which means sometimes I talk politics cause that's very related to how I found myself living in a van to begin with. But mostly I'm just a middle-aged chick who's trying to make the most of life's cards, and looking for ways to laugh at it all.

Hello! I just wanted to check in with y'all and let you know that I have been hiding out from this last bit of the heat on the coast. And I have pretty much no cell service or Wi-Fi here. There was a bit of a delay with the starlink, which I'll explain later. I'm passing through a town with service right now, so I thought I'd send you a little note.
I wanted you to know that I am behind on comments, but I will get caught up as soon as I get back to a cell service area. But I probably will be pretty slow to do anything over the next week and a half, because I am preparing for, and then spending the week with my daughter! Yay!
I'm super jazzed to get back to posting, especially now that we've agreed that rules are for suckers, and we don't need none of those here. I love you so much! I can't wait to talk to you again!

Oh my goodness, you guys. Thank you so much for reminding me what is really important. I'm so sorry that I lost sight of that for a moment. You are important. Our relationship is important. My insecurities and weaknesses are human, but they are not important. They are distractions.
You are the truth. The absolute enormous wave of love and support that you sent me after the video I posted yesterday is the truth. You've given me something real and tangible to hold on to in a moment where I felt like I was losing my grip. There really is no way to thank you for that. There are no words that are good enough. But I hope you can feel just a fraction of what it meant to me. What it means to me.

Hi y'all! If you haven't yet met Mar, allow me to introduce her. Mar is on a bucket list trip. This sweet woman has cancer and, unfortunately, it's terminal. So, like any good wild child, she packed her van, her little dog, and her two possums, and she hit the road to get some adventure in before she gets to go meet Ozzy.
She came up here to Anacortes thinking that she was going to be able to go to Orcas Island and see the amazingness there. She, however, ran across the same thing I did last year, when she found out that the ferry to Orcas Island is significantly more expensive than the ferry between Port Townsend and Whidbey island. So she thinks that dream is out of reach for her now. I'd like to see if it's possible for us to fulfill that dream for her. I can chip in $25. Which only leaves $50. Is it at all possible that some of you guys could help Mar get to Orcas island? She is such a sweetheart, and I know she would appreciate it more than anything.

Hello!! Can I get your opinion on something? I am finally ready to start the politics channel I've been talking about forever. One of the things that has taken so long is trying to come up with a name I actually like. I've gone through about 10,000 by now. Lol. It's come down to two I'm trying to decide between. I could go the traditional route and just give it my name, Birdie Carr. Or I could go with something I recently thought of, The Heart of Politics. So, can my good friends let me know which one of these you think is better for a political YT channel? Traditional, or a little more personal.

I want to send my love to those affected by the flood in Texas. I have family in Kerr County, and i know it's a very tight-knit community. So I'm sure everyone in the county is feeling this. Happy Independence Day to my friends in the US. As complicated as our history is, there is a lot of things we can be proud of. Throwing off a monarchy so that we could exist at all is a huge one. Enshrining freedom from religious tyranny in our founding documents is another. For those things I feel pride and love for my country. May we remain free and continue working toward a truly equal society. ❤️
