The last photo is of Puma and I, 2017. I had just returned from the PRC's (Penang Recreational Club) annual Christmas gathering. It was the first Christmas "party" with Daddy after decades. I was so happy to be home. Daddy had passed the mic, he was the M.C for the event, to me and I sang the chorus, Santa Claus Is Coming To Town, with him. He didn't know how difficult it was for me to agree to go. So many strangers. The worst part of the evening was when I read the card on our table, their names "and guest". I didn't have anyone to talk to back then. I simply reached out for the bottle and poured myself a 🍷. It was the first time I consumed alcohol in front of Daddy. He even gave me his second glass of wine (which I politely declined even though I felt like taking the bottle home) since he had to drive us home. The alcohol limit here is 50mg BAC 0.05 breathalyser reading. It's a prison sentence, fine and suspended driving privileges. Repeat offenders (men below the age of 55) will be caned as well.
It feels good to talk about it now. Thank you for listening. You have no idea how much it means to me. 😔
