Ash Morse’s music ranges from delicate and intricate piano vocal to grand and orchestral. Each song tells stories of his life and internal world through sweeping melodies and poetic
lyrics.
The performance will include selection from Ash Morse’s most recent albums:
Cinematic/orchestral “To Go Home”, nostalgic, heartfelt piano/vocal “Family Ties” and more joyful EP “Sunny Haven Avenue”.
Ash will also perform his unique composition “Dream Machine”, which was partly released as a radio edit in 2023 (now available only on YouTube), reached the top 40 in the prestigious Vanda and Young international competition, and claimed the grand prize for the IYMC International Composer’s competition. In the words of Brian Henderson Ward, in his ASA review, “Dream Machine” is “an incredible mix of melodies featuring so many key, time and mood changes. It is more complex than Bohemian Rhapsody and feels like a huge theatre production. An outstanding vocal performance along with fabulous harmonies. The musicianship was genius.”
“Dream Machine” is part of Ash Morse’s forthcoming 2025 album, “Nowhere Land”, his biggest, and most ambitious project yet.

Ash is an accomplished songwriter and musician with a career spanning 25 years. Highlights include multiple features on national TV and radio, tours within Australia and at festivals such as Woodford Folk Festival, international performances in London, Vietnam, Tokyo, Cancun, Santiago, Kerala and throughout China, and multiple award nominations and citations including Grand Prize Winner for the IYMC International Composer’s Competition, twice-finalist for the Vanda and Young International Songwriting Competition, finalist for the ISC International Songwriting Competition and ASA Australian Songwriting Awards, Grand-finalist for the ListenUp Songwriting Prize, nominee for the WAM Music Award (Best Indie Artist), and had his single 'Sunny Haven Avenue' ranked No.1 in the national AMRAP Metro charts for 2 consecutive weeks. His music has attracted over 4.7 million views and streams across Youtube, TikTok and Spotify, and been featured in Australian film.

To open the night, Ash has invited his good friend and Central Coast local, John Vella - a remarkable storyteller, songwriter, producer and performer whose songs have inspired Ash and many others over the years. A veteran in the industry, having worn almost all the creative hats, John is an ARIA nominated Record Producer, Film Composer, Songwriter, Artist, Vocalist and Sound Designer. From orchestrating records at Abbey Road to writing advertising music in New York, to showcasing his band Tenderfoot across the UK, Canada and US, his music has taken him all over the world.
