What an extraordinary conclusion to Transversal Imprint: Cultures, Places, Selves at the DC Arts Center.

The closing gathering was more than a celebration; it was a culmination of dialogue, introspection, and shared creative energy. The works — spanning photography, painting, and installation — invited a profound meditation on belonging, displacement, and cultural memory.

Curated by Zixin Shang, the exhibition assembled a powerful roster of artists — Ramin Etemadi-Bozorg, Zeqian Hu, Kevin Kwon, Ran Feng, Dina A.Z. Salem, and Hazal Weil — whose practices intersect across geographies and sensibilities, yet collectively articulate the intimate complexities of self and place.

I'm thrilled to share my experience at the 'Transversal Imprint: Cultures, Places, Selves' exhibition at the @dcartscenter! This powerful and emotive show explores the navigation of identity, place, and belonging across cultures, featuring six talented artists from Asia and the Middle East.

Curated by the incredible Zixin Shang, the exhibition showcases the work of Ramin Etemadi-Bozorg, Zeqian Hu, Kevin Kwon, Ran Feng, Dina AZ. Salem, and Hazal Weil. Through photography, painting, and installation, these artists reveal how connection and creativity can transcend cultural borders.

Special shoutout to my friend Ramin Etemadi-Bozorg, a renowned Iranian artist with a remarkable career spanning across the globe. It was a pleasure sharing a lovely moment with him and his talented wife, Esha Sadr. Ramin's work is a testament to his skill and dedication to his craft.

I want to extend my gratitude to the @dcartscenter for hosting us at this incredible event. It's events like these that celebrate diversity and cultural expression, and I'm honored to be a part of it.

¡Mis felicitaciones para María Corina Machado por su Premio Nobel de la Paz que es de toda Venezuela!

Esto de seguro no debe tener feliz a Nicolás Maduro por ser la causa principal (ni a Trump porque él quería el prémio que ya fue dado a Obama antes). Corina siendo mujer se arriesgó más que el candidato mismo y todos los candidatos del pasado que no pudieron con Maduro. Ella fue el movimiento, fue ella.

Con este premio, la comunidad Internacional manda un mensaje claro de que @nicolasmaduro está y siempre ha estado, del lado equivocado de la historia.
