Random stuff I feel like recording. Certainly not done with professional equipment. Basic cell phone video.
I live out in the woods about an hour South of Atlanta GA and drive around 2000-3000 miles a week East of the Rocky mountains.
I usually never go further than Dallas or Kansas City in the Westward direction, Detroit, Cleveland, West Middlesex PA, Long Island are my Northernmost routes.
My preference is to run Atlanta to Miami and stay in Florida during the Winter months and run out to Dallas or further in the Summers.
I love the dry deserts West of Dallas and the huge open spaces of North and South Dakota.
Have you ever stood on top of a truck and seen Sunflowers in bloom from horizon to horizon?
I have. The United States is a beautiful country. Some of the pockets of blight can be heartbreaking too.
Soon I will be taking a DSLR or a decent video camera with me. I need to get a dash camera for certain.

The new hire did the 200k service on Monday.
Just a little crankcase pressure is all it takes with a backed off drain plug.
Reason #XXX to be a W2 company driver.
Imagine trying to get Speedco to take responsibility.
$40 per hour breakdown pay until we were in another tractor.

We had another short week due to a breakdown. 620 miles less than usual.
It looks like $140k may not happen.
$135k+ is a pretty good likelihood.

Another trailer that meets the $10 per mile revenue goal for line haul. So far, every trailer this week has met goals. Heading to our relay in Louisiana. Arlington TX is 850 miles away. ARL is Arlington terminal.
ATL is Atlanta.

Last trip of the week heading home to Atlanta. Truck did about $12k this round trip when Westbound trip Friday afternoon is added to this load. Trying for minimum $50k per week. Rolling out. Back to work Monday evening. 595 miles to home.

Atlanta to Arlington TX tonight.
The 8000 pound shipment at the top is internal company business, so there is no revenue.
One unrated bill. With that added this load barely made $5 per mile revenue goal. 850 miles times $5 is $4250. This truck needs to do $10k per day on the 1200 mile round trip. Otherwise is could be contracted out or turned into a direct run to Arlington and then wait for a return trip that is at revenue goal. I prefer regular tight schedule shuttle relays with all drop and hook.

This morning's load back to Atlanta plus some from weeks ago as comparison.
I will compile them all and do one post per week. It can take 10 pictures per post and we do 10 loads per week. 595 pay miles from Atlanta terminal to our relay meet point in Louisiana. Then 595 miles back every day for 5 nights. Monday evening till we get back Saturday evening. On a slow week the truck will do $30k as it's share of the revenue. On a good week it can do $100k. $10k each direction 10 times of Atlanta to Dallas freight. When a trailer goes further I only attribute the percentage of the total distance that we pull the trailer. Example, 1800 miles to Phoenix pays $15k. We do 600 of 1800 or 1/3 so we only did $5k worth of work from that load.
Then figure all of the dock and local city work.

Westbound light load.
About half of what it should be.
To Phoenix.
Yesterday, we had a Phoenix trailer with $14,000+ in revenue and 32,000 pounds.
We are pulling it 1/3 of the way to Phoenix.
So this will be about $1800 to go 600 miles.
Under the $5 per mile goal.
This load normally would have been given to a contractor when we are busy.

Was a light van Westbound last night.
