Hello. I make videos primarily to share thoughts about various topics I find interesting. So far, they've mostly been about language learning, but I have many videos planned about other topics as well, such as art, programming, games, and so on!
NEW EPISODE IS OUT! For my subscribers who haven't seen this series, I really recommend checking it out as the ones who have generally enjoy it! Here is the link for the full playlist starting from the first episode: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IUfVw...
Recently after a lot of consideration, I decided to stop adding new cards to Anki for learning Japanese and stop at 25,000 instead of going for 30,000 lol.
Finishing the "challenge" of going for 30,000 would have been cool, but I realized that it kind of becomes less about learning Japanese and more about just reaching an arbitrary number of the sake of it.
My journey thus far has been pretty pragmatic, and I've always had a good relationship with learning Japanese, so I decided that stopping is the best way to keep it that way.
I explain more in depth as to why in my new video, but anyway tbh I'm much more excited to continue now that I can focus on reaping the rewards of having learned this language, instead of having to focus just on the grind.
This video is slightly unique in the sense that I've been living in Japan since the start of 2024. I also share my thoughts on not having (properly) added Anki cards for a year, reading Sun & Steel, as well as my thoughts on how long the journey will last.
Near the end, I also shared some thoughts on the potential future of the channel, as well as the fact that I most likely won't upload any large projects like this year anymore as I'd like spend the final 2 months I have left in Japan on paying a visit to a few places I have in mind.
The Part 2 to my fully Japanese let's play is out! I'm not really sure how long I'll continue this series considering that probably only 10 people watched it from start to end and the editing takes a lot of work hours, but let me know if you'd like to see it continue, and you can always choose to support it as well!
I just posted a let's play fully in Japanese on my second channel! I decided to take the game I bought in my buyee video from 8 months ago and make a lets play series in Japanese, both for practicing Japanese as well as to take a snapshot of my current Japanese output level to look back at in the future, whilst having fun in the process!
I put it on my second "budget" channel as it might end up having quite a lot of episodes and not everyone on this channel is learning Japanese, but I still put a decent amount of time into editing it!
Have you ever recorded yourself or a friend in the gym, and if so, what is the reason behind it? Is it for posting to social media? I'm pretty interested in seeing what the results are going to be like!
I am thinking of making more content on my second channel called @BudgetLivakivi (仮). I have certain videos planned there regardless, but what kind of stuff would you be interested in seeing there?
Also, don't forget to subscribe to it in advance if you're interested in that kind of content!
