With nearly 50 years in the appliance industry, I've seen it all. I am tired of top brands living off their name and now starting to produce shoddy products.
I've made many videos and even a playlist about built-in obsolescence. These videos have millions of views and keep growing. What's really surprising is that manufacturers aren't disputing the information.
Manufacturers need to improve their brand names by producing quality again, I'm here to share my knowledge, help you repair what you own, and fight for a more sustainable future.
We make videos on domestic appliance repairs (Cookers, Washing Machines, Tumble Dryers, Ovens, Hobs, Fridges & Freezers etc.) fixing the vast array of kitchen appliance.
We have a website that is designed to help you repair your appliance yourself, with the help of video and step by step instructions on the procedure. All this and more for FREE!!

Hey everyone! I just published a video where I completely dismantle a Samsung WD0804W8E1/XEU washer dryer, and you are not going to believe the absolute disaster we found hiding inside.
If your washing machine is making a terrible racket or jerking around on the spin cycle, you really need to see this. I used a hoist to pull the entire drum out of the cabinet and discovered that the aluminium drum spider had completely collapsed and separated from the stainless steel drum. I dive deep into exactly why this catastrophic failure happens, explaining how a simple chemical reaction inside your machine literally rots the metal away from the inside out. I strongly believe this is a classic example of built-in obsolescence, and I explain exactly why manufacturers refuse to use durable stainless steel for this crucial part.
Instead of just throwing the machine away, I decided to strip the entire washer dryer down to save the perfectly good spare parts. Along the way, I give you a complete masterclass on how to test every major component in your own home. I show you how to use a simple multimeter to check the heating element, the temperature sensors, and the direct drive motor. I also explain exactly what is going wrong when your machine flashes those frustrating 3C, 5E, or HE error codes on the display.
Are greedy manufacturers deliberately using cheap metals to force you into buying a brand new machine every five years? Watch the full teardown video on the channel to see the shocking evidence for yourself and learn how to test your own appliance before calling out an expensive engineer!
What is the absolute worst appliance failure you have ever had to deal with in your own home?

ARE YOU ACCIDENTALLY DESTROYING YOUR WASHING MACHINE WITH ECO WASHES?
If your machine is banging and juddering on the spin cycle, the metal spider behind the drum might be rotting away! Using liquid detergents on constant cold washes creates a layer of damp sludge that acts like an electrical battery, eating away at the aluminium parts 24/7.
To stop this hidden damage, ditch the liquid, switch to washing powder, and run a hot 60 to 90 degree wash every single week. Watch the full video below to see exactly how to protect your appliance from an early grave!

Manufacturers might refuse to sit at the table with us, but our collective pressure is finally forcing their hands. The Right to Repair community is making a massive difference, and the law is officially putting an end to throwaway culture. This RTÉ clip features an Irish appliance engineer named Jerry Mcwigan, and he specifically calls out welded washing machine drums on national news.
I’ve spent the last few weeks interviewing domestic appliance experts across Ireland and the UK, and the message on the ground is clear. Watch this RTÉ news clip from last night—an Irish engineer is finally calling out welded washing machine drums on national television as the new EU repair rules come into force.
We are dismantling built-in obsolescence. Keep the pressure on!

‼️ Hey everyone,
I wanted to give you a quick heads-up regarding this week's stream schedule. I’m currently traveling, which means I won't be able to go live or host any streams over the next few days. I apologize for the sudden gap in our usual routine!
The good news is that I’ll be back home in Wales next week and back live from my workbench, ready to pick up where we left off.
Thank you all for your patience and support. See you very soon!

Live stream in an hour, talking about heat pump tumble dryers.
We have at least 6 guests coming on today's live show. Should the government have the right to ban, vented, and condenser, tumble dryers? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zvFw-...
