Le Chéile Music

When it feels like you're making no progress, remember that developing a complex skill like piano can often feel like watching a child grow; you don't notice anything day to day, and then suddenly it feels like they shot up two inches overnight!

Have you experienced similar in your playing? It can be most apparent when you go back to a piece you struggled with 6 months ago and find you can play it much more easily now. Try it and let me know if you see a difference! 🎹

Le Chéile Music

Everytime I begin a new piece of music I find myself thinking, this is going to be the one that defeats me - it's too hard, I can't see how I'm going to master the tough bits, or memorise it, or perform it competently. And everytime, the patterns slowly start to appear, and the tried and true practice strategies melt away the seemingly impossible challenges, and I forget why I thought this one wouldn't work. Anyone else like this? 😁

What one piano piece do you want to learn in this lifetime? For me it's Chopin's Ballade in G Minor 😍
