Coming from a family of teachers, today is also a day to remember those who walked this path before meāthree generations behind, starting with my great grandfather who was an Ezhuthashaan. I am a fourth-generation teacher, not quite by choice, but perhaps by destiny; jokingly, I can say Iām simply carrying forward my kulathozhil. Some legacies are inherited, but the responsibility to make them better is ours. I strive to provide the best quality and most comprehensive free education to everyone; that is my way of giving back for all the good things happening in my life.
Thank you and hugs to everyone who shared such beautiful thoughts in the giveaway contestā¤ļø
The winner is (drumroll) āŖ@radhikavishnu9018ā¬ā (please contact me on +919995875995).
What I loved about Radhikaās post is how beautifully she reminds us that a teacher must first be a human beingā empathetic, humane, and always putting the learner first. In the years ahead, AI may take over much of what teachers have traditionally done as knowledge-givers. What it cannot replace is the human connectionāthe empathy, care, mentorship, and dedication to the art of teaching rather than its science. Perhaps, more than ever, our learners will need teachers who choose to be human before they choose to be teachers.
To every teacher who shaped meāthe good ones who showed me the way, and the difficult ones who showed me the way not to goāthank you. May we all strive to be more than knowledge-givers: mentors, supporters, facilitators, and, above all, people who put every learner first. Because teaching is a sacrifice that gives back the greatest giftāthe chance to shape a kinder, wiser tomorrow.

I feel deeply honoured to have served as the Student Representative for the IGNOU January 2026 batch inauguration today. This wonderful opportunity was given to me by Dr. Suju C. Joseph Sir ā a truly inspirational person. His dedication to student flexibility, choice, and academic transparency is what makes IGNOU Mar Ivanios Center so special. Having completed Masterās in Psychology from IGNOU myself, I can say with pride that itās been one of my best learning experiences. IGNOU truly reflect the NEP 2020 vision. For me IGNOU isnāt just āThe Peopleās University.ā, it is a Studentās University.
