I traveled, lived, and explored many amazing places around the world over the years.
But the Philippines has captured my attention more than any other. The best and most friendly people I have ever met. Some of the best food and hands down the most beautiful country I have found with so many natural wonders to see and explore.
I seek to explore the most beautiful places nature has given us enjoy the amazing people here, and eat foods from modern to traditional and sometimes exotic food.

There’s joy for where you are now, mixed with nostalgia for Christmases past.
But Christmas in the Philippines? It’s truly like no other place on the planet.
From early carols and endless celebrations to the warmth of family, friends, and even total strangers, this country has given me some of the most memorable Christmas seasons of my life. Over the years, so many people have made the holidays here fun, welcoming, and unforgettable.

Thank you for another amazing year in this beautiful, fun, and wonderfully chaotic country I now call home.

As a foreigner living in the Philippines 🇵🇭, I’ve come across a lot of dishes that challenged what I thought I liked — and this one definitely did! 😅
Ginisang Ampalaya (bitter gourd with egg) is a Filipino classic — simple stir-fried ampalaya mixed with egg, tomatoes, carrots, onions, and garlic. 🥚🥬🍅
Back home, we do not eat bitter food. Like, ever. 😂 But here? I’ve learned to absolutely love it — bitterness and all! ❤️
It’s funny how your taste buds can change when you open yourself up to new cultures and flavors. This dish went from “no way” to “yes please!” real quick. 😋🇵🇭

Tiger Dog in the Philippines 🐅 | Farm Dogs That Really Know How to Relax 😴🇵🇭
Check them out — all chill and asleep like they’ve had the hardest day’s work ever! 😂 One of them’s a tiger dog, and if you’ve never seen one before, they’re pretty awesome. They’ve got these cool striped coats — kind of like a little tiger — and they’re tough, smart, and super loyal. Perfect farm dogs! They keep an eye on everything, from chickens to carabaos, and they’re always the first to bark if someone new comes around.
The other dog… well, I’m not exactly sure what mix he is, but he’s just as good — friendly, calm, and always following you around the farm. Between the two of them, it is the perfect combo of watchdog and nap champion.
Meanwhile, while everyone is working hard under the sun, these two are passed out in the shade without a care in the world. Gotta love farm life. 🐶🌾

Sumar Cobra Encounter 🐍🇵🇭
Life in the Philippines is always an adventure, and this weekend didn’t let down... I was busy working on the bar at the farm when I turned around to see a Sumar cobra at the bottom of the steps — right where my daughter had been sitting just moments earlier, and where our dog was now standing. 😳
These snakes are undeniably beautiful, but also incredibly deadly. To make it even more intense, this wasn’t just any cobra — it was a spitting cobra. Encounters like this are a stark reminder of how close we live to wild nature out here. 🌿🐍

Going live from the farm in about 2 hours, as I take on today’s hot and itchy job — cleaning and cutting bamboo! 🌿 I’ll be using the bamboo to make new shelves and resurface the bar. Now, full disclosure: I’m not a professional carpenter (not even close, haha), but I’ve been learning as I go, and so far, nothing has fallen apart yet! 😅 7AM Philippines time (7pm Eastern time)

We Got It Done! The New Path and Steps Are Finished! 🇵🇭
Another farm project checked off the list!
After days of hauling, leveling, and sweating under the sun, the new path and steps up to the house are finally finished. It might just be concrete and stones—but for us, it means no more muddy shoes, no more slipping, and a much easier walk after a long day.
Out here, it’s the little improvements that make a big difference. Slowly but surely, this place is starting to feel even more like home.
One project down... a hundred more to go 😅
