Guess what sort of captions look best on shorts? The kind that don’t look like Alex Hormozi’s. That is, endless you want to look like literally everyone else. Create good content, use the captions that auto generate and look fine, and move on with your life. Your captions not looking “SIIIIIIICK” like Hormozi’s isn’t the reason you’re not blowing up.
So, I just built this super helpful new automation that's going to save my assistant time and keep us even more organized than ever before. Here's how it works:
When a new client enrolls in our marketing program, they're taken to a page where they can fill out an onboarding form. This form is super important because it gathers all the detailed information we need to start building out our marketing system. Once the form is submitted, the client is taken to a welcome page where I'm on video welcoming them into our program. But behind the scenes, a lot of things are happening automatically.
Here's the cool part: when that onboarding form is submitted, a whole bunch of stuff happens automatically. First, a new project is created in our project management software called Basecamp. The project is named after the client's company, so it's easy to keep track of everything. Then, my assistant Elizabeth is added to the project, and a to-do list is created with a bunch of tasks that need to be completed.
Elizabeth is assigned one of those tasks, which is to call the client and get all the additional information and access we need to build out the perfect marketing system for them. The task is due two days from the time it was created, so there's no time to waste.
This automation is a game-changer for us because it keeps us super organized and prevents us from wasting time on menial tasks like clicking buttons. Instead, we can focus on the higher-level tasks that really make a difference for our clients and our company. If you're not using automations in your business yet, don't worry. Just start by deciding what you want to automate and writing down exactly how it would work. Once you have that figured out, the rest is easy to build if you know how yourself, or easy to build by someone you hire who does know how.
What are some things you've automated in your business? Let me know in the comments.
