🇰🇿 Сегодня мы побывали в Посольстве Чешской Республики в Астане и встретились с послом Паволом Шепеляком, заместителем посла Филипом Пшеничкой и руководителем консульского отдела Станиславой Войтишковой.

Говорили об учебе студентов из Казахстана в чешских университетах, подготовительных программах ÚJOP Карлова университета и актуальных вопросах визового процесса.

Спасибо Посольству Чешской Республики в Астане за теплый прием и открытый разговор. 🤝

🇨🇿 Dnes jsme navštívili Velvyslanectví České republiky v Astaně a setkali se s velvyslancem Pavolem Šepeľákem, zástupcem velvyslance Filipem Pšeničkou a vedoucí konzulárního úseku Stanislavou Vojtíškovou.

Mluvili jsme o možnostech studia studentů z Kazachstánu na českých vysokých školách, přípravných programech ÚJOP Univerzity Karlovy a aktuálních otázkách vízového procesu.

Děkujeme Velvyslanectví ČR v Astaně za milé přijetí a otevřenou diskusi. 🤝

A1, A2, B1, B2… Do you know what these language levels actually mean?

At A1, you can manage simple, familiar situations. At B1, you can join conversations on everyday topics without preparation. At B2, you can explain your opinion, discuss different options and argue your point. And C2? That goes far beyond simply speaking “very good Czech”.

In the latest episode of Charles Czech Cast, Kateřina explains all six language levels, what learners can typically do at each one and why the journey from one level to the next does not always take the same amount of time.

One important reminder: your language level is not a grade and says nothing about how intelligent you are. It simply describes what you can already do in Czech.

We passed the test too! ✅

The Czech Language Certificate Exam for Foreigners (CCE)® has successfully passed another independent ALTE audit. Its Q-Mark has been confirmed for all five levels, from A1 to C1, and is valid until July 2031.

What does that mean in practice? The exam’s development, administration, security, marking and handling of results have been independently checked against international standards. The audit also covered the new format of the speaking test introduced in 2026.

Depending on the level, a CCE certificate can be used to prove Czech proficiency for university study, employment, permanent residence or Czech citizenship.

This achievement belongs to our Research and Testing Centre team. Behind it are hundreds of hours spent developing and trialling tasks, training raters and checking every part of the examination process.

Are you already learning Czech and want to use it more confidently at work and in everyday life?

On 4 September, ÚJOP Charles University is opening in-person Czech language requalification courses for continuing learners. The courses are suitable for those who already know Czech at least at A1 level.

If the required conditions are met, the course fee may be covered through Úřad práce ČR. Funding is approved individually. You can also pay for the course yourself.

Applications must be submitted by 2 September.

Twenty-three students aged 15–18 from 11 countries have arrived in Prague for Charles University Summer School “Discover Your Future”.

Their first days included Survival Czech, a visit to the historic Carolinum, information about English-language study opportunities and hands-on medical training at the First Faculty of Medicine Simulation Centre.
