Renewed Homemaker Collective

I wanted to let all you lovelies know that I have created something new that might encourage you in the new year. Brand new in my storefront (the link can be found in the description of all my videos) I have created a community for us homemakers who are being renewed day by day. Little do most ppl know, but the life of a homemaker can be very lonely. If that is you, know that I see you. I have 6 little ones that I homeschool, and I can still feel lonely myself. Yes, we have our children and the busyness in our homes, but we can still feel it. The truth is..we were not meant to do life alone. That is where this community comes in. Think of this as something you do just for yourself. In this group, every Monday I will be sharing exclusive Bible studies just for the homemaker's heart, not shared here on this channel. You will also be able to visit with me directly in that group ❤️

Comment to this thread if you are a homemaker who has ever felt lonely? What are some things that you would love to get from a tight-knit renewed homemaker community?

All my love,
Danielle x

Hey Lovelies! I don’t know if you homeschool, but this one goes straight to the heart of all my homeschooling mama friends.

I am not a math girl. Never have been. I pretty much coasted through high school with a solid D in anything that involved numbers. So naturally, math is not my strongest teaching subject. My oldest is in 7th-grade math and uses Monarch online—and let me tell you, we are still struggling. Today, around 2 p.m., we finally got a game plan together… but only after a major meltdown.

And you know what? Grades are just grades. Academics are important, yes, but they are not ultimate. We are called to do the best we can, but my son is not a straight-A math student—and that is okay. What isn't okay is how quickly I can spiral instead of handing my stress and worry over to the Lord.

I’m an English girl through and through. Give me a paper to edit or a book to write and I’m in my element. But give me REAL NUMBERS and INTEGERS and suddenly I’m questioning all my life choices. And as a homeschooling mama, it’s so easy to feel the weight of our children’s academic progress sitting squarely in our poorly equipped hands.

But here’s what God whispered to my heart today: Love never fails.

After the tears and the overwhelm, I had the sweetest conversation with my boy while he finished his pizza. I was still feeling like a complete failure, and he starts giving me a history lesson. And because history is not my strong suit either, I just listened. We talked about Russia and Mongolia, czars and cons, the Ottoman Empire, and Orthodox Christianity. My Elijah—only eleven—was teaching me things he’s learned from his dad, who loves history. And I just sat there, asking questions, connecting, being with him.

And right there, in the middle of my insecurities, God nudged me:
“Danielle, love never fails.”

The Holy Spirit went straight to work on my weary, overwhelmed mama heart.

I might not be the best academic teacher. I try my best. But the truth is: love never fails—because relationship never fails.

For God so loved the world that He did something. He didn’t just speak His love; He demonstrated it. And Jesus said, “If you love Me, you will obey My commandments.” Love is action. Love is connection. Love is relationship.

And today, love looked like sitting beside my son, asking questions, listening, learning, and simply being with him.

Academics matter. We sharpen like iron. We do all things for the glory of God. But none of it—not math, not history, not perfect homeschool days—is as important as this one small, eternal word: love.

I never want to teach until I’m blue in the face, strive until no one even feels sorry for me anymore, and yet fail to love. Without love, I am simply a resounding gong or a clanging cymbal.

“If I speak in the tongues of men or of angels, but do not have love, I am only a resounding gong or a clanging cymbal.” —1 Corinthians 13:1

I hope you enjoyed the first video in my Christmas Mini Series (there will be 5 total)! I am telling you, they are wrecking me.

Today I am feeling it...The overwhelm and simplicity of homemaking and motherhood. Sometimes we can feel like our role in the home is so overlooked, like it doesn't matter. Sometimes we can honestly feel like, "this is what I am doing with my one life on earth..I want to do something great!" Oh, Mama, I am there with you, and let me lead my own heart right alongside yours!! True greatness often looks like taking the humble and overlooked way. I felt led to rewatch video 2 in the mini series (it's scheduled, but not live yet) and I sat in tears. It is about how we watch, wait and pray for God to do something HUGE in our lives...but how he is already here, waiting and working. Jesus came as a baby, and was overlooked and missed by many because people of that time were waiting for a conquering king. We too, as homemakers, can fall into that. We are watching and waiting for a conquering king, but can miss the simple ways Jesus is working in our midsts. Let this truth wash over you!

I am equally wrecked by the 3rd video in the series that I am currently working on -- how God shared the good news of His son with the lowly shepherds who were working in the field. The part that gets me is that God met them where they were. Just like you and me...God meets with us here where we are busy at work! As homemakers we are often overlooked in society, lowly and poor because we live on one income...but like the shepherds, God doesn't choose the wise things of this world but instead the lowly.

I'm lifting you up in prayer today! May God bless you richly this Friday ❤️

Tonight I'm posting a video that honestly wrecked me while filming it. 💙

It's about Mary - but not the way you've heard it before.
It's about what SHE understood about carrying God's presence... and what that means for you right now, in your messy kitchen, with your overwhelmed heart.
If you've ever wondered whether your daily homemaking actually matters to God, this one's for you.

Posting tonight at 7pm central time. Set a reminder - you're going to want to watch this one. 🕯️

What's one thing you're carrying in your home this week that feels heavy? Tell me below. ⬇️ I'll go first.

Tonight for supper I enjoyed a pizza date with my two oldest boys (Elijah 11 and Noah 6). I do have a 14-month-old but he's teething and needed to stay home with dad so he was near his bed :).

A few nights ago I went to bed a bit sad because I realized I haven't been connecting with Elijah the way I"d like...or maybe I just look on and see how much he connects with his dad, which is A VERY GOOD THING! I felt like the Lord said the same thing to me He has said many times—love never fails. Relationship never fails.

I believe that the number one parenting hack is developing and maintaining a close relationship with our kids. For God so loved the world, that He what? He did something about it. Love is action. Tonight I listened to Elijah go on and on about his game, the three of us shared inside jokes, I asked questions, and we shared bites of food.

I believe that the number one thing that makes discipline even more effective is a deep rooted relationship. When we have a relationship with our kids, it does the heavy lifting...when my kids want to please me, discipline is 50% easier. Not saying that kids can't have a rebellious streak.

I wrote all about this in my book Discipline 101: How to Supercharge the Rearing of Any Child.

Just thought I'd share a little about my night!

How many kids do you have? How do you feel that a deep-rooted relationship could affect the rearing of your children? What do you do to connect with your kids? I'd love to hear your thoughts :)
