It’s the last afternoon of the Qingming holiday, and the northern spring wind rattles the windows as if playing its own restless music. I opened some old photos and realized that three years have passed since I was diagnosed with anxiety and depression in 2023. Life in these three years has felt like it was on fast-forward—three jobs, countless changes, all rushing by like water, leaving little time to truly grasp.

Dandan has been gone for over three and a half years, almost four. I’m still uploading videos of him—over thirty now on Bilibili and YouTube. Perhaps this is my way of remembering him, of making sure I don’t forget, and that the world doesn’t either.

Turning forty, time seems both stretched and accelerated. Looking back, everything has already changed. The seemingly ordinary days hold the real weight of life; every moment is precious.

I’ve learned to listen to my own breath in the wind, to notice the small details of love in the light. I’ve learned to move forward carrying my memories, not rushing to let go, because some beings, some lives, are meant to stay in the heart forever.

Life, slow down a little. Let the passing of time not be just numbers, but something we can feel—its depth, its warmth, its light.

I started uploading Dandan’s videos yesterday.
I’ve wanted to do this for a long time. I once planned to edit them into a short film, but I couldn’t bring myself to go back and watch all those memories.
Maybe when every video is uploaded and I’ve watched them all again, I’ll finally be ready to start making that film.
