If you were wondering why no videos on this channel -> I'm not planning to post videos on this channel anymore. I'm currently taking effort to produce different from backrooms thematic videos on my next channel > @noisetide < where I will upload stuff in the future.
Thank for everything and... Happy New coming Year 2024.
I'm still alive. Moving to a new house... Very liminal time and space I'm in for tonight. My usual room devoid of any personal objects and items. My last night in this room as my relatives chose to sleep in the new house and because of no Internet present in the new house yet, I chose to sleep one last night in this empty "space" that still has wi-fi working...
Kind if interesting feeling that inspires nostalgia and begging if new adventures at the same time.
My old house room wallpapers have closely similar pattern and color to that of a backrooms level one, which inspired me for some of my recent creations.
Thank you for your staying here. We'll sure meet again, Some sunny day...
@forwardvector asked: "how long it takes to render the videos?" Considering my laptops Hardware of RTX 2060 Mobile 6Gb VRAM and Intel 6-Core i7-10750H 2.6 Ghz (boost 4.4 Ghz) it usually takes about 30-50 seconds per frame.
Where by framerate of 24fps on the video it takes minimum with 30 seconds rendering time (30*24)/60=12 minutes for every second of video. and with sometimes 30fps and maximum rendering time of 50 seconds per frame it would be (50*30)/60=25 minutes per each second of video.
Summarizing it usually takes about from 10 to 30 minutes to render each second of the video. I usually leave my laptop overnight to render. When It's rendering it is usually not much usable apart from browsing the web and gets pretty hot. CPU can be up to 98 C (critical is 104 C) GPU is gets up to 80 C and yes I'm using cooling fan pad under the laptop correctly. This gaming laptop model is like this by shitty design "HP OMEN 15 dh1xxx" And there's no way to control the fans speed directly on Linux nor on Windows. Driver exists and "works" but is detecting the fan RPM as 0 all the time and when any kind of setting is set nothing happens. I promise you I'm power user and I tried different software< but no luck on both OS. So I'm forced to rely on built in cooling curve that I can't change. (I'm sure it is not working correctly as cpu is like 95 C and fans are barely spinning and for some reason when fans are like 80 C the temporarily speed up for 10-15 seconds and go down. Like what the ****?) I was not aware of these kind of problems and what I was getting into when was buying this gamin laptop.
Gladly on Linux I can easily limit the cpu frequency so it does not get this hot, but the cost is performance as I'm usally stuck with 2.2 Ghz (as I figured goes up to 70-78 C )
I still can boost my cpu up to 4.4 Ghz temporarly for 5 minutes, which gets me insane boost in performance which this cpu is truly capable of, but after my laptops is even too hot to touch the keyboard and cpu is like 95 C constantly when under 100% load it throttles it down in one moment to 800 Mhz !!! and it locks in this frequency until it cools down and I can't do anything about it!
Gladly system does not becomes unusable like this as most of the graphical rendering is on the GPU so the OS UI is not laggin, but in this 800 Mhz mode it takes about 10 seconds to load the Youtube Homepage. 💀
I remember when backrooms really used to be scary. In those times when I scrolled through the backrooms wiki (not the fandom) and read countless descriptions of levels imagining myself of how it would be to be there myself. I just expanded on to these feelings and understood the backrooms the "my" way. From what I truly believe is that in the backrooms: - you are alone - you are NOT alone - you can BE anywhere - you can be NOWHERE - you can find SOMETHING - something can find YOU - time IS meaningless - the places are connected and BLENDED between each other. (some try to differ them as "levels" by their characteristics ) - the places are INFINITE no mater where you go. - you'll find yourself ALWAYS "inside" or "indoors" - if you are "outdoors" it is FAKE - the freedom is an ILLUSION - you emotions COULD be an illusion
- anything can happen in the BACKROOMS.
These are just some general unspoken aspects or "rules" of a backrooms that I noticed to be the same among different descriptions. Even the original single photo of the backrooms and it's description partially fits into these "rules"
I felt that a backrooms has really great potential for horror. It's just no one could really make it scary as it should be. By modern time it lost it's true scary appearance. I would want to bring it back. I have really great ideas and dreams that I dream about almost every night to supply them, but don't have the most of the necessary skills and people nor equipment nor time to make them.
But past that I'm still moving little by little to what I want to do in life.
