Beat Plastic!
One step at a time
Each time you dispose of a plastic bottle the right way, you're helping to keep the environment clean. If everyone plays their part, our world will be a healthier, safer place.
Plastic waste has become one of the biggest challenges in our environment today. When we throw plastic bottles carelessly, they end up clogging our drainage systems, polluting our waterways, and littering our bushes and farms. This not only affects our farm lands but also block drainages, which cause floodiing.
You can be part of the solution, there are now collection points around towns for recycling where you can take your used plastic bottles and cans, to sell. But first put it in mind the money wouldn't be much. Just remember you're not doing it for money. You’re doing it to protect your environment.
Just keep a sack or a container at your backyard. Whenever you finish using a plastic bottle or can, drop it in there. Once it’s full, take it to the nearest recycling or collection point.
This small act, if done by everyone in every neighborhood, can lead to a big difference. We can free our environment from plastic pollution one bottle at a time.
This year’s World Environment Day theme was “Beat Plastic”.
Together we can beat plastic and keep our world clean, safe, and healthy.
