Recovery Reimagined

Welcome to Recovery Reimagined 🌅

Recovery Reimagined is a peer-led nonprofit community creating accessible spaces for recovery education, connection and honest conversation. Our videos bring together lived experience with perspectives from practitioners, researchers, authors, educators and people in recovery.

Our content is educational and recovery-supportive. It is intended to complement, not replace, professional mental health care, therapy, treatment or an individual's existing recovery program. Guest presenters contribute independently, and their participation does not create a therapeutic or clinical relationship with viewers.
Our live gatherings are open to everyone. Come as you are.

What if craving isn’t something to fight, but something we can learn to listen to?

This Monday, October 19, Jan Winhall leads an experiential workshop on cravings, regulation, and the body’s survival strategies, drawing on her Felt Sense Polyvagal Model. It’s also a special fundraiser for Recovery Reimagined.

We’d love to have you there. Reserve your spot here: link.recovery-reimagined.org/nervous-system-YT

Recovery Reimagined

Hustling, rushing, scrolling, never stopping. For many of us, busyness isn’t just a habit. It’s become something we rely on.

What happens when we finally slow down? Join us as we explore our relationship with busyness, why it can be so hard to stop, and what we might discover when we do.

New reflection on the blog 🌿

Fawning is not a flaw. It’s a learned language.

In our Extended Learning workshop, ‪@IngridClaytonPhD‬ , did something particularly powerful: rather than simply teaching about fawning, she noticed her own fawning response showing up and walked us through what “unfawning” can look like in real time.

This new Reflection looks at some of what Ingrid shared: why familiar advice like “just set boundaries” can sometimes feel out of reach, why the goal isn’t to never fawn again, and what can happen when we begin by simply noticing the pattern with a little more curiosity.

If you’d like to explore more of what Ingrid shared, the full Reflection is here 🌿
