Let’s come together to celebrate, elevate, and transform women’s health in our community — and for generations to come 💕✨
What do I come from? How is health service situation?
I come from a small village in Lamjung, Nepal, where there is no doctor, no pharmacy, and no one with basic medical knowledge to handle emergencies. This lack of resources forces many to move to cities, but financial constraints make it impossible for most. According to USAID, Nepal is the poorest country in South Asia and the 17th poorest in the world, with rural areas like mine suffering the most. We must support these communities by improving education and promoting preventive care. Together, we can provide hope and resources, helping villages like mine thrive and ensuring no one is left behind.

Welcome to our first ever “women’s health and wellness practitioner” networking event in Gold Coast.
This event is to bring our women’s health and wellness practitioners together, which will help to bring better health support to our community.
Another reason is to bridge the gap between traditional medicine and modern medicine because I strongly believe there is need of both medicine. When we work together we are providing better health solution to our community.
Along the side we will be representing 2 non for profit organisations, who supports vulnerable women in Nepal, for them to be able to standup against domestic violence, sexual abuse, sex trafficking, early marriage etc.
WHY this event and these 2 organisations?
Having grown up in Nepal and experiencing sexual and verbal abuse firsthand due to the beliefs of each family has to have a son, it was very hurtful to see women around me experiencing all sorts of upsetting situations and not having the support. Our event is creating awareness to these situations and for men or women to be able to live a violence free and safe life. This is “WHY I DO WHAT I DO”
As you are aware, I am from Nepal and I am passionate to see some changes that impacted me growing up. In Nepal lots of girls suffers from sexual abuse, sex trafficking, domestic violence and early marriage. Once a woman is in the situation of being touched by a man inappropriately, they are seen as dirty and abandoned by family and the community. We want to support our 2 nominated organisations, which are working towards young girls having the opportunity for new beginnings.
1. Destiny Rescue: (Local organisation)
Destiny Rescue’s mission is to have a leading role in ending sexual exploitation and trafficking of children and to rescue kids to help them stay free.
We are inviting Mark Nuss (partnership manager of destiny rescue) to inform us of some amazing rescue stories and about this organisation.
2. Hairdressers without borders: International organisation
Hairdressers Without Borders is a nonprofit organisation based on charity and educational purposes.
They are providing skill sets to women in Nepal. Anj is from Nepal and she knows most of the women in Nepal are illiterate so, for them to go to school and getting certificate can be financially and time wise, can be little bit challenging. That is why Hair dressers without borders organisation plays vital role, through their successful training programs around Asia, we are seeing in all our students a real personal growth by using the profession of hairdressing as the universal key for creating an accessible opportunity and a real impact for making a step further for changing their lives.
Just for your information, Hair Dressers without borders is international organisation so, your Donation for this organisation may not be eligible for tax deduction.
If you resonate to any of these organisations, you will have the opportunity to donate directly to our non for profit organisations, donate as little as or as much as you like.
100% of your donation goes directly to our charity organisations.
Just to give you an idea. For as little as $50 gives women in Nepal a month worth of salary. Imagine the life we can facilitate, with as little as this amount. With mass effort we all can imagine the difference we can bring.
Since, I have started my networking event, I have been to few events and that gave me an idea of creating more of fun activities to bring community together. Especially for the people when they have just started to go out to event on their own. I have thought of the price to keep it on lower side for the early bird so, majority of emerging people can afford to come to networking event like this.
We would like to welcome you to this event and below we have put together the details:
-When you arrive you will be greeted with a Mimosa(one per attendee) -We will have amazing speakers to talk on health and wellness as well as , we have Marc Nuss (partnership manager undercover) coming from Destiny rescue as our speaker. -We will be doing fun networking activities by team building event expert. -Meet new like minded people in the health and wellness industry. -Get the opportunity to introduce yourself to others and build connection -Coffee, tea, juices, food platters & charcutier boards provided -We are providing free raffle tickets – raffle prizes provide by our generous practitioners and sponsors. -Please feel free to bring your friends, who loves to support women in health and wellness business, more the merrier :) -You will be directly donating to our charity organisation to their website on the day. -If you come by yourself, we have friendly team to support you, who are also in health and wellness industry. So, you will have someone to talk to. We want you to feel included in every way and get the most out of this event.
