Today I am trying a recipe of a magnolia syrup, made of the petals of these beautiful flowers. Mine turned out full of flavour, and a bit similar to rose syrup, but I heard it can have different flavours depending on the variety of magnolia. Did you try ever try it? Have a great day, Barbara

Hello! How are you during these dark, cold, winter days? To remind us that the warm-colour seasons are out there too, one before winter and two after it, (or however you place them on the watch of seasons), I repost here the video of my travel to Warsaw this autumn, during which I went to see the opening of „Sketch has power” exhibition, in which my sketchbook took place, and visited the Royal Gardens with a sketchbook to capture the amazing yellow leaves and pretty architecture there. In the video I also show you a regularly pretty, but outstandingly tasty Polish dish, and some supernice views through the train’s windows (greenery, in that autumny case, orangery, don’t confuse with orangerie).

Hello in winter 2024 and a happy new year! How has the january treated you up till now? It is pretty freezing here in Poland, so it is a perfect moment for some creative time while cosy at home, with a sketchbook, blanket, crayons and a cup of tea. Anyway, how do you like your winter?

We have some beautiful, rainy and wet autumn here, and it has so much charm. Perfect for a tea with cloves. I'm sharing a picture of my postcard that celebrates the magical vibes of that season.
