What's up everyone! My name's Ben Madsen, and this is my gameplay channel!
I'm a gaming fanatic and always have been! I'm competitively known as the #1 Beatstar player (before retiring) and have been a top competitive Dance Dance Revolution player for nearly 20 years. My passions extend into collecting, analyzing, and playing retro games.
I'm currently setting up my new main channel, and will post more information here about it once it's ready to go. This channel is going to be used for my past Beatstar videos and other gameplay vids. More info soon!

Beatstar Fam! I've been having fun catching back up with Beatstar the last few days, and want to try putting out a videos or two with my new camera.
I realllllllly want to make a video of Tornado of Souls DX, but the RNG gods haven't been on my side for unlocking that yet.
Instead, I figured I'd let my community vote on a song for a new video. I'm going to combine the results of this poll with the one in my Discord server, so vote twice if you feel strongly.

My dear subscribers, my time with Beatstar has reached an end. I made a longer post going over this in my Discord server and on the Beatstar Reddit, but will keep things short here.
While I enjoyed Beatstar for over a year and a half, I never wanted my YouTube channel to become primarily focused on any one game. I've always had aspirations of making game discussion and review videos, primarily for older games, and am going to completely rebrand to that type of content.
My question to you is this...would you rather continue supporting my channel here as I undergo a rebranding, or would you prefer I create a new channel and leave this one as an untouched collection of Beatstar videos? Regardless of the direction I take I will NOT be deleting any videos.
tl;dr - Are you interesting in continuing to support my channel here after I rebrand myself as a retro game analyst and reviewer?

Finally all done with my base streaming setup! Going to be livestreaming one game (Dead Space) and then recording another one offline. Both will be uploaded episodically on here. Will try to find a way to make rhythm game streaming work as well, but it's difficult with copyright laws.

Feel like Space Ape missed a great opportunity to release some truly challenging Extremes with the Deluxe update. Instead, even the hardest Deluxe Extremes only barely scratch the 4 star Standard Extreme difficulty.

I refuse to pay for Unlimited Play again with this most recent update, so it's going to take me a while to get through the new tour pass. Will upload songs as I get through unlocking them. Fingers crossed for getting the Extreme early!
