ChiTownView presents clips about the Chicago area & it's history. Traveling around the city I'm always aware of the history that surrounds me and how quickly the physical signs of the history can slip away. So I stop look and make short clips and if there's a story behind what I'm seeing I share it. The material we're presenting is for the most part original productions. We have three series running right now. "Chicago Crime Now & Then" is our look at the long history of organized crime in the windy city. We also look at the area designs by Frank Lloyd Wright. And take you on The Chicago Neon Tour.
For more than two decades I've been wandering the Internet accumulating YouTube stations, stores, and other social platforms. Mostly with different names and not fully connected. Over the course of the next month we will linking under the name Imagist Studio. For now we have this LinkTree collection

My name is Mike Beyer and have been posting YouTube videos since 2007 and have had more than a dozen stations with millions of views over the years. While most of my videos are original material I do post items in the public domain which tends to be a very fluid term rather than something hard and fast. So I've had to start over again a few times. Right now I have four stations the one your on now ChiTownView then we also have ChiTownSoundz, MindsiMedia Home and 20thCenturyRetro (which is only semi active).
On @ChiTownSoundz we feature music, no shock there. Mostly Chicago area free and outdoor performances but mixed in with other music related stuff because I'm, bad at the niche thing I like to spread out. From 2018 Chicago Blues Fest we have this clip of Vieux Karka Toure guitarist / vocalist from the African republic of Mali. He is the son of one of the legends of modern Malian music Grammy winner Ali Farka Touré. Stop by and pay us a visit.

We are on the road again for our first new Chicago video of 2019. On a gray chilly Friday I decided to hit the road, well the Green Line to be precise, and pay a visit to the Garfield Park Conservatory on the city's west side. Here we have the first in a series of 3 or 4 short clips of what I found there.
