For those of you who catch my livestreams here, unfortunately I'm traveling and while my laptop is pretty solid, it's not quite good enough to stream to both YT and Twitch at the same time while also playing the game.
YT streams will return on the 1st / second of the new year, and will continue on for the indefinite future. If you care to, I will be live on twitch pretty much every day until then.
From now on I'll be posting uniformly across all social media sites. I'll keep this one short, since I'm still not set up and won't be back for a little while longer.
The subathon was 79 days long, and having done absolutely nothing but streaming 14+ hours a day, I was hoping to get a bit of rest after. If you weren't aware, my wife had already moved across Canada, and I got ready to join her immediately after the subathon ended. I flew out almost right away, and while I initially intended on just chilling for the 10 or so days I was in B.C., before I flew back to Ontario and then drove our car and our stuff across the country, what I actually did was start acquiring all the stuff I need to stream instead. I built a new streaming PC, got a new NAS, started setting up my new workflow etc.
In the end I only really got 1 or 2 days of actual rest (simply because my energy just crashed off a cliff), and then I flew back to Ontario, and drove across the country. It was a sick drive, but now I'm getting some actual, do absolutely fucking nothing rest. I've lost a lot of Strength as well, so it's a nice chance to be able to get back to the gym and get into a groove.
I have an official "stream is back" date of May 20th, but it's likely you'll see me earlier since I'll be testing stuff out. I finally have a 4000 series nvidia GPU so I can finally do enhanced broadcasting, as well as 1G internet.
I'm taking this long simply because when I come back I'll be focusing a LOT more on trying to make content that can make it's way to YouTube. I will be working very closely with Nish who is my editor, and ironing out the workflow so it's as seamless as possible takes time.
Thanks for your patience, I'lll be back soon.
FOR YOUTUBE ONLY:
For those of you who watch my stream here, or exclusively consume content from here, I'm very sorry that I stopped streaming the subathon about half way in. I had MAJOR issues with my ISP and was forced onto my backup internet, which is USUALLY how I was streaming to YouTube in the first place.
Now that I'm at our new place, we have SUPER insane internet. So I'll be comfortably streaming to YouTube and Twitch from now on with absolutely no issues.
Tomorrow, I will be embarking on one of Twitches greatest challenges.
The Subathon has replaced 24 hour streams as the great streamer challenge, and I intend to do one to cap off this chapter of my life. For those not in the know, the idea of a Subathon, is that the stream stays on while your timer has time remaining. Viewers can add to the timer by subscribing, donating bits, or tipping. This effectively means that your viewers can trap you streaming for infinity, as long as they keep the timer with time remaining, the stream doesn't end.
Prior to now, my stream has been my little corner of the internet where I show up 5 days a week, play some ladder, talk some shit, and then fuck off. Usually there's no plan, no greater purpose, just me and the chat messing around. Once this Subathon is over, that will change slightly. I want to spend more time planning streams, planning streams for YouTube, doing video essays, collaborating with my awesome peers, I want to do new stuff. Streaming is the thing I love to do the most, so that's not going to end, but the days of me just grinding time away are coming to a close. Even if it takes a while to change my scheduling to match that, it is what I intend to do.
So naturally we're going to end the grinding era with the most grindy insane event I could possibly cook up. This Subathon is meant to encapsulate all the eras of my stream with relation to gaming, and has pretty much everything I could think of. While the Subathon is uncapped, there is an alternative way for me to get out of it. I have to complete every game on a very extensive list, and only when they are all done, am I free. Some highlights are: 1500 ladder games, the entire SC2 achievement hunt (all campaigns 100%), Elden Ring, Many Zelda games with Crowd Control (Viewer Interaction), Community nights, Poker streams, the list goes on. If you want the full list, go to my chat, type !subathon, and you'll be able to see it.
I want to say that this Subathon is supposed to be to help give my wife and I a bit of financial freedom, considering we just moved to a pretty expensive city. I want to say that it's because I'm being responsible, that I'm just doing this for us, and that it's meant to be financial security. But that would be a lie. I want to do this, because I want the challenge. I want to do one more absolutely bat shit insane thing. I want to be live for 3 months so I can look back and fondly remember I fucking did that stupid shit. I want chat to try and wear me down, I want to battle my way through 1500 ladder games, I want to play Crowd Controlled games, and I want to come out on the other side victorious. I want to do this for my future and my family, but deep down I want to do this for me.
I want to put on a show neither me nor my viewers will ever forget, I want to do something special. Just me. Me and my little corner of the internet, I want to see how far we can take this stupid thing. I have prepared for months, and now It's time to see if I have the willpower to see it through.
I for one, am excited.
See you tomorrow, Sal.
(For YT viewers, I will be streaming the SC2 segments here, but the primary stream is twitch)
Hope your holidays are going well. I am actively trying to get dual streaming working for you guys who don't have any desire to watch on twitch. The broadcasts will have no music, and will be of a higher bitrate.
Videos are a little bit behind but I've actually got a couple done, I just need to sit down and polish it all off, I've slacked off a bit too much during the holidays, hopefully you have too <3
I should probably have told you guys earlier, but the studio has been under maintenance for about 3 weeks now.
I've been streaming the whole time, but unfortunately I can't be recording in the apartment as well, so I've had to chill on the YouTube content.
I *should* be back in the studio next week, and I'm preparing some shorts, and a couple vods so we're back at it right away, and that way I can record and keep it trucking.
Hope you're all doing well, sorry for the content drought.
There is officially 1 Co-op, one edited game, and one short for every week this month.
Tomorrow at 9am EST there will be an absolute BANGER of a vod with @steadfastsc2
It's edited by @morn_sc , and it's really funny. Worth watching. You'll be able to watch it live with me tomorrow morning over coffee here: https://youtu.be/DPahTADSstk
From here on out I will always be a month ahead, and only when I have more content than this, will I start to add more each week.
I’ve been inactive a couple weeks, and won’t be posting until next Monday, so I thought I’d catch you all up!
At the end of April I put on a Zelda charity marathon on twitch, which lasted 7 days and raised $10,000. This was vastly more than I thought we were going to raise, and I’m super stoked about it. However the week of super minimal amounts of sleep, and then the couple days of degeneracy I had with my friends who flew in from all over the world, took me out for a couple days.
That took me out for about 2 weeks lol, then Tears of the Kingdom came out, and I actually reduced my streaming hours and grinded that game like crazy. It’s probably the best game I’ve ever played so if you can play it, you should.
Starting next week we’ll be right back on the grind. My intention is to have at minimum Reverse campaign, and Co-op companions, as well as at least one YT short (these will usually be clips from stream). I promise to only upload shorts where I myself will give a hearty chuckle, no shovel-wear clips.
I hope you’ve all been well, I look forward to making content for you all again!

Hey Guys,
Just letting you know no streams this week, I wasn't allowed to get permission to restream EWC on YouTube.
If you're interested in watching me co-stream EWC (the biggest SC tournament of all time) you can watch on twitch!

Hope you're all doing well. We have an absolute BANGER video coming out tomorrow, probably my best thumbnail yet.
I have 2 videos a week for the next 4 weeks, with 7 more to make from content this week. I have a very busy weekend. We're back in full swing baby!
I will resume reverse campaign, most likely next week.
Love from streamer,
Sal.
