On the occasion, Sukanya Samriddhi Accounts were opened and passbooks were handed over to the beneficiaries, reinforcing India Post’s commitment to the financial security and empowerment of the girl child.

Nirmala Devi, Postmaster General, Southern Region, Madurai. Happy to fulfill our commitment on last mile connectivity.
This Vasant Panchami, Southern Region, Tamil Nadu Postal Circle, organized an awareness session about letter writing and Philately at Philately Bureau, Madurai Head Post Office.
Students from local schools participated in this event. A postcard featuring an inspirational message from Shri Jyotiraditya Scindia, Hon’ble Minister of Communications and DoNER was presented to the children who participated in the program.
The students were also presented with books on philately and moral values, nurturing reading habits and introducing children to the joy of Gyan Post services.
The event also included hands-on activities such as writing a letter, affixing stamps, posting it in a letter box, and sharing information on the importance of philately and interesting facts about stamps, making learning both fun and engaging for young minds.
