Euchroma giganteum, the Metallic Wood Boring Beetle or Giant Metallic Ceiba Borer, is a species of beetle in the family Buprestidae, the only species in the genus Euchroma. Euchroma giganteum is one of the largest of the buprestid beetles (hence the Latin name "giganteum" of the species), reaching a length of about 50–80 millimetres (2.0–3.1 in).
Catoxantha and Megaloxantha are among the few other members of the family that reach a comparable size.
The body of E. giganteum is robust and elongated and the elytra have a wrinkled surface and a metallic green colour with reddish or purplish tinges. The pronotum has a dark spot on each side.The larvae reach a length of about 12–15 centimetres (4.7–5.9 in). The elytra of newly emerged adults have a coating of a yellowish, waxy powder. As the beetle ages this powder wear off.
The males apparently attract the females by a clicking sound produced by the elytra.This species usually mates in August. The larvae are miners of fallen timber,

ive been working on a hollyleaf au for a pmv i may or may not release for halloween, and i want some suggestions on how i should end it + any other things you think might need fixing
everything up until the fire scene happens normally, with the exception that maybe hollyleaf stays a med app? not so sure on that . after the fire scene however, when holly is on her way to kill ashfur, she dies due to a flash flooding shortly after killing him. ashfur gets into starclan due to him "not actually killing anyone" and holly gets into the df, because everything aside, she DID kill ashfur for "selfish" motives. this is all going in a pmv to catabolic seed, so she gets a cool little devil design in the df. she feels betrayed by starclan, and by her former loved ones, so she starts looking for a way out of the dark forest. this ends up being sol! you know the guy! she manipulates him into going to the clans and convinving them starclan has abandoned them, because she feels cats who would go against her in her final hour dont deserve reverence or respect. the problem is i dont know how to make this idea fit with the end of the song! i had a few other ideas, like including the great battle and maybe sacrificng herself, her possessing bramble intead of ashfur, or maybe her having a power?? just a big jumble that i cant seem to make sense of, so im asking you!!
