Meet Sriritwik N. Shastry, a student of the Humanities Department (HEPyP 2024–26), whose journey reflects leadership, purpose, and intellectual curiosity. ✨

Inspired by Swami Vivekananda, he took the bold step of choosing Humanities as the only student from his school-turning it into a space where his ideas and perspectives truly flourished.

From serving as Head Boy to becoming Chairperson at JMUN, Student Coordinator, and later Head Student Coordinator at JAIN College, Sriritwik has consistently led with initiative and responsibility. His passion for expression shines through platforms like Samskrta Nivaha and Rangamilana/Theatre Club 🎭

A standout moment in his journey was interacting with Dr. S. Jaishankar at the India Ideas Conclave 2024, where he was recognised as the youngest delegate.

With an impressive 97.33% in I PUC and the Best Outgoing Student Award, he now aspires to pursue diplomacy and contribute to India’s global presence.

Meet Saanvi Pramod Iyer, a 2nd PUC student of EPPyS from the Department of Humanities.

From music to the cricket field, her journey reflects curiosity, resilience, and determination. She began learning the guitar at the age of six and received a Merit Award from Trinity College London for completing her Level-3 graded examination in Rock & Pop.

Cricket, however, soon became her true passion. Starting at 11, she made a mark in the 2023 Karnataka State Cricket Association Women’s League (Open Category), emerging as one of the highest wicket-takers while competing against players across age groups.

Despite setbacks from injuries, her dedication and discipline helped her return stronger. A major milestone in her journey came when she was selected by the Mangaluru Dragons franchise for the first edition of the Maharani Trophy.

With dreams of performing consistently at the domestic level and one day representing the country, she continues to chase her goals with passion and perseverance. ✨

This Women’s Day, we celebrate young women like Saanvi who are breaking barriers, chasing their ambitions, and inspiring the next generation to dream bigger and aim higher.
