Pretty much everything we run into during our binary hobbies, that we feel others could benefit from.

Hi all!
You’ve probably noticed things have been a bit quiet lately, and I’m sorry to inform you that they’ll stay that way for the next month or so. That’s because TECHMIMIC is moving headquarters!
Between packing, setup, and getting the new infrastructure ready, uploads will slow down temporarily. But don’t worry! Once settled in, I’ll be back with weekly fresh videos, improved content, and more FreeBSD Monday videos. Obviously, the comment section is still being looked after.
And while on the move, a huge thank you to all of you for helping the channel recently hit 3,000 subscribers! Your support means the world, and it’s what keeps TECHMIMIC growing and evolving.

Hi all, sorry to bother you with this, but I would like to hear from you! The channel is growing, and I want to take this opportunity to thank you all for the likes, subscriptions, and (above all) your participation. It really makes it all worthwhile. Meanwhile, I’ve received an email from YouTube letting me know that soon “automatic dubbing” will be enabled on the TECHMIMIC channel. This means YouTube will automatically generate translated audio tracks in different languages. It will start with newly published videos, and over time it will also dub previously published videos. Now here's the thing. I’m not sure if I’m a fan of this, so I’m tempted to disable it. Let me know if you feel differently...especially if you watch with subtitles in a different language and would like this feature. Is it useful to you, and should I keep it enabled? Keep in mind due to the technical speak in the videos I'm not convinced how well this will work. Thanks for any feedback and keep it up!

Hi all! I recently had to do a reupload of an existing video. Unfortunately, the background music posed an issue for some videos and is now removed. I don't like doing this, but it would be a shame to remove the videos completely. And on a positive, removing the background music might provide a better viewer experience. If you’ve already seen it, no need to watch again and please accept my apologies. Unfortunately some more will follow in the coming weeks. but I will alternate them with new uploads of course. Thanks for your support!

Hi all! Just a quick note to say that going forward, all macOS related videos will be on our second channel @MacMimic where the focus is solely on macOS. This to keep things here at @TechMimic (mainly) on FreeBSD/Linux. Hope this helps!
