These images are from the Dantewada attack of 2010, where 76 Indian jawans lost their lives in a brutal Naxal ambush.

It remains one of the most devastating Maoist assaults ever carried out against Indian security forces.

But what was happening back then? Reports spoke of celebrations inside JNU — one of India’s premier universities — where certain left-leaning groups were allegedly marking the killing of our soldiers with disturbing enthusiasm.

Fast forward to today. As Maoist groups weaken and surrenders increase, bringing Left-Wing Extremism closer to its end, those same ideological voices in academic spaces are once again expressing sympathy — this time for the very forces behind such violence.

Where was this sympathy when teachers were murdered simply for trying to educate tribal children? When innocent civilians, farmers, and soldiers were killed under the banner of “Lal Salam”? There was silence.

The reality is — those who romanticize or encourage Naxalism don’t live in forests. They often operate from within universities, sometimes as intellectuals or professors, drawing salaries funded by taxpayers while promoting narratives that many believe undermine the nation.

A delegation of Jamiat Ulama-i-Hind met the Joint Commissioner of Police over the brutal killing of Tarun in Uttam Nagar, Delhi.

Jamiat Ulama-i-Hind is same organization that defended terrorist Waliullah Khan in court, who was responsible for the 2006 Varanasi blasts, where multiple bombs exploded near Hanuman temple and Varanasi railway station, which killed 28 people. Years later, in 2022, court convicted terrorist Waliullah Khan.

This organization also defended terrorist Mirza Himayat Baig in court, who was responsible for the 2010 German Bakery blast in Pune, which killed 17 people. Later, he was also convicted by the court.

Defending terrorists in court does not hurt the secular fabric of the country, but a water balloon on Holi does.
