I was working 40–50 hours a week. On paper, I had what people call “security” — a steady paycheck. But here’s the truth: we were still struggling. The bills weren’t fully covered. The weight never lifted.

One night, Sheila looked at me and asked two simple questions:

“Does it make you come alive?”
“Is it providing for all our needs?”

My answer was no. To both.

That’s when she asked me the harder question — the one I couldn’t shake:
