Seasonal decorating, interior spaces, and the rhythms of home are how I mark time throughout the year — from autumn and Halloween, through winter and Christmas, and into spring and summer.
My approach is calm and intentional, focused on atmosphere, story, and homes that feel warm, lived-in, and supportive of real life. Sometimes that looks like a home tour or a decorating project; sometimes it’s a quieter reflection on slowing down, choosing with care, and living well within the season you’re actually in.
At the heart of it all is a belief that enough can truly be enough — that beauty doesn’t need to be rushed or taken to excess to be meaningful.

Right after Halloween I got REALLY sick. So all my plans for immediate Christmas decorating (and going to a wedding!) got put on hold for over a week.
I'm still not 100% but finally feeling like I can do some Christmas decorating. I hope to have the first video up soon!

Halloween night felt quieter this year — maybe because I’d already spent so much time inside the season while filming.
By the time I hit upload on The House That Whispers Halloween, I was creatively spent (and never did make it into my costume 😅).
But as I sat in the glow of those last candles, I realized how much this series meant to me — and how much I appreciate everyone who took the time to watch, comment, and share in the magic.
Thank you for spending October with me. Your kindness and excitement made every late-night edit worth it.

I was so busy today!
I almost finished our Halloween porch transformation. Just ran out of sunlight! I'll finishing up Sunday morning and have the full video live early this week.
After Halloween I'll be able to remove the Halloween elements and reset for November and Thanksgiving.
How do you deal with thanksgiving décor if you're hosting?

Here it is! It's a reproduction of "Carnation, Lily, Lily, Rose," by John Singer Sargent, my favorite artist.
