It's very interesting how Derek never mentioned James LaBrie by name, and yet, modern DT defenders automatically assumed he was talking about LaBrie. Is this a confession that they KNOW James is doing a bad job?
Umm... I thought Rick Beato was opposed to AI music. Now, he's giving Jordan a ton of publicity for his products and AI ventures. Super lame and unprincipled on the part of @RickBeato.
Help this go far and wide, so we can deter others who would do the same. There is a guitarist called Giacomo Turra who has been getting lots of views, accolades, gigs, and money off of other people's unaccredited musical ideas. For example, one of his most popular songs, The Way She Wants, is stolen from a Brazilian artist, Thiago Gomez. It's incredible in this day and age how people think they can get away this. Pure entitlement.
Dream Theater lost a true gem when Kevin Moore quit. This is much more touching than about anything Sherinian or Rudess have ever done (with the caveat that I do like Planet X and DS' solo music). If Rudess had composed this, he would probably ruin the human element with computerized vocals, exactly as you hear on his Wired For Badness album. In 1994, the other members of Dream Theater should have gotten down on bended knees and pleaded for Moore not to quit.
This is another example of Jordan making mincemeat of someone else's work: the grotesque AI visuals, and those damn arpeggio tornadoes he shoves in everything. BTW, I bet The Moth will get a much better reception than The Astonishing, finally demolishing the "metalheads can't appreciate musicals" excuse.
This is extremely true. Champions of AI "art" keep repeating the platitude that AI "is a tool to enhance creativity." In practice, what we are seeing through things like the Studio Ghibli fiasco is that people primarily use AI for copying another person's aesthetic. It gives non-creative people the vicarious ability to feel creative.
This guy made a video loudly proclaiming that he had "debunked" me regarding the Score DVD, and yet, he focused on a completely different song than I did. Like, what if certain songs are a lot more tampered with than others? Fail. I also read somewhere in a comment section that "Wings Of Pegasus" was mulling over doing a video on Score. That would be big, if it happens, because that guy has a large audience of people that care about authentic vocal talent.

Jordan Rudess, once again, is triggered by the accurate observation that he is more entrepreneur than artist

He's guilty of the very thing he's accusing other people of. He destroyed Dream Theater for short-sighted personal profit.
