The forecast isn’t looking great for the next few days, but I’ve a few things to be getting on with on the bench anyway!

First on the list is this air75 whoop project… to be honest, I’ve been dreading this… everything is way smaller than it looks 😆

Wish me luck! If i can get this thing flying, i may actually be able to put something together for IGOW… 😉😇

New battery day! 🥳

These packs are my go-too for 6S 5 inch freestyle. I have tried a lot of different brands and sizes, but these Dogcom Ucell 1300mah hit the sweet spot for weight, power, durability and longevity.

They are also some of the cheapest high performance packs out there 😉 Proof that just because something is bling and expensive, doesn’t always mean its the best! 🙌

Finally its ready for a maiden!

Not the easiest build in the word… these are all used parts from other projects (apart from the vtx). I had some issues with the first bluejay ESC, so i swapped it out for an AM32… that didnt work either! As usual though it was just a dodgy cable connection between the esc and fc! 😅

Its about 30g heavier than my O4 Pro Syncmode, so im going with HQ J37s instead of my usual J33s (a little more pop).

Everything looks good in the Ultra gui… motors are spinning correctly… batteries are charging… lets go! 🙌

Now the VTX has arrived, I can hopefully finish this one off by the weekend!

Not my usual colour scheme… but the frame was second hand and a really good price, so i can live with it 😆 It will be “forest green” like my other one in no time anyway! 🙌

Im heading for a day out to the Western Highlands of Scotland tomorrow with my mountain surfing fleet! Now I’ve got all these guys flying how i want them too, it’s time to explore a bit away from my usual spots… I cant wait! 😎

Each of these drones fits a niche for me…

My Rad Li-Ion is for covering distance, scouting the hillsides for decent looking spots for my AOS 7 to blast into for some proxy dive action, and the AOS UL8 Cine X8 with the BlackMagic Micro G2 will come out for a ride when the light is perfect for the really epic shots!

Hopefully it all goes to plan, and i don’t forget anything stupid… 😆

I hope everyone is having a great weekend! ☀️☀️☀️

After the electrical interference issues on my 8S Rad Li-ion 7 inch build the other day, I’ve fitted a second low EMF 50v capacitor to the esc power pads. Hopefully this takes some of the strain off the flight controller, and cleans up the VTX signal a bit… its a few more grams, but i think this will really help the flight feel!

I’m off out this evening for some more range flying to find out. Not a super far out one this time, but should be some nice views 🙌🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿
