On his first day of university, Sanemi was weaving through the crowd, dodging passing students with his earphones on—just like any other day back in high school. He didn't even bother to acknowledge the compliments or the lingering stares from the girls; it was nothing but an annoyance.
Suddenly, as he looked up, a figure caught his eye. He skidded to a halt and turned around in sheer surprise. Long, flowing black hair tied back neatly, a pristine uniform… and those blue eyes… staring back at him, equally startled.
The dark-haired boy looked so innocent, or perhaps… there was a certain magnetic pull that pierced Sanemi's heart like a sharp arrow, and he couldn't fathom where it came from. Honestly, Sanemi felt as though he had fallen for a complete stranger just because of that beauty and those eyes he couldn't stop staring at.
Good grief, so this is what love feels like! After graduating high school, it felt as though he had finally found his first love… but wait? The guy was a total stranger; they had never even met before. How could he possibly be in love already?
Gradually, the surrounding crowd faded into the shadows, leaving only the two of them standing there, gazing at each other like unmoving statues. The music in Sanemi's ears began to fade until it was barely audible.
Hey! What on earth are you daydreaming about? Wake up! Don't just stand there! You're going to be late for class!! Sanemi blinked a few times, snapping back to reality. Right... he had to get to class; he couldn't stay here... if he kept standing like this, he'd be late. He shook his head vigorously to dispel those delusional fantasies and hurried away as fast as he could.
It's ridiculous to think I could... love a boy! I’ve gone mad... Sanemi kept denying it, muttering to himself, yet the corners of his mouth curled into a smile, as if he had just witnessed the most blissful thing in his life.
His cheeks flushed crimson as he recalled that face—that face was so lovely—Sanemi thought to himself. What would it feel like to step closer and kiss or gently bite his cheek? Would it be soft?
What am I even thinking? How rude, he thought, but regardless... sooner or later, he would try to get to know him if he could. He wanted to hold his hand in public, to kiss his cheek to show how much he truly liked him, to... cuddle, or maybe even more? Perhaps so.
