Your tone starts at the pickup and ends at the amp. Fix it in that order. No new gear needed. 🎸
️⃣ Pickup height: Press the low E at the last fret and check the gap above the pickup. Closer is louder and thicker, but too close gets muddy.
️⃣ Positions 2 & 4: On a three-single-coil guitar, these two positions give you that glassy, chimey "quack."
️⃣ Volume at 8: With your amp already pushed, roll the volume back a little. The grit cleans up and your picking dynamics come alive.
️⃣ Tone at 6 or 7: Taming the top end smooths out harsh highs.
️⃣ Pedal order: Wah, drive, modulation, delay, reverb is a solid starting point. Your echoes stay clear instead of turning to mush.
