Hey all,

Today is 18th April 2025, meaning it has been exactly ten years since I created this channel. Over that time it's gone from a small hobby project to a 190K+ subscriber channel with daily uploads, and I feel incredibly grateful to have this platform to share playthroughs of games I like (and otherwise!).

The Pokémon HeartGold Randomiser run wrapped up yesterday with the Pokémon League rematches, and I have to say that while it was a spur-of-the-moment thing due to the (still ongoing and annoyingly slow-moving) PC repair arc that's put the Persona 5 Royal run on hold, it was probably my favourite of the Pokémon randomiser playthroughs so far. I feel like the seeds I got for LeafGreen and Ruby ended up giving me too many powerful Pokémon too easily, but the HeartGold run played out in a way that gave me a pretty realistically balanced team for that game's endgame and led to challenging close calls in some bosses.

I will say, though, I have seen feedback about the idea of doing randomiser playthroughs in general, and while I probably will do the occasional rando from time to time since I enjoy them (and in this case wanted to make it distinct from the vanilla SoulSilver playthrough already on the channel), I realise that they're not to everyone's taste which I can appreciate. It will be a decent amount of time before the next randomiser run to not overwhelm people who aren't interested, and also to not wear out the novelty for the people who have been enjoying them.

What's next for the channel? Well, the Game Boy Colour version of Donald Duck: Quack Attack/Goin' Quackers starts tonight at 10pm BST. While the PS1 version I covered back in January is a 3D platformer, this is a more traditional sidescroller with some charming visuals and somewhat absurd difficulty in the later levels. I hope you'll enjoy the videos!

A new randomiser playthrough of Pokémon HeartGold Version will start tonight at 10pm GMT. The plan is to post daily HeartGold rando videos for the rest of the month, then start reintroducing Persona 5 Royal parts alongside it in March once I have my regular recording PC back up and running.

Admittedly that is tentative so plans may change, but I hope you enjoy the videos that come out either way!

The upload schedule's been a bit shaky this week since I'm currently without my main PC due to technical issues, and I'm running out of Persona 5 Royal videos I'd already recorded. It's going to be a while until everything's fixed so in the meantime I'm going to be sprinkling in a playthrough or two of older games I can record on my old PC without it cooking itself.

Starting tonight (10pm GMT) is a redone run of Sonic Advance for the GBA, which will include all special stages, a run of the game with every character, and the true ending.

Hey all,

I realise I've been overloading the channel with long RPG playthroughs a lot lately so I'm planning to occasionally sprinkle in some shorter games alongside the ongoing Persona 5 Royal playthrough for the sake of variety.

The first of these will be a 100% run of Donald Duck: Goin' Quackers (also known as Donald Duck: Quack Attack) for PS1, starting tonight at 10pm GMT!
