After a summer of searching, we’ve found our technical binder expert to help us take our fitting to the next step! They’re creating our tech pack (the blueprint our sample room will use to make the binder) as we speak!
I’m SUPER excited to be working with someone from the community who also has experience developing binders! And of course, someone that shares our excitement for this project!
The NYC sample room I mentioned in my last update is already lined up, and we’re now aiming to start the next sample in mid-to-late September.
Thank you for sticking with us! I know there’s been a lot of behind-the-scenes work, emails, meetings, and contracts, so I can’t wait to show you how it all comes together. 💛
I found an amazing NYC sample room to create the pattern and first fit sample! We’re starting in mid-September, right after Fashion Week!
In the meantime, I’m sourcing materials and meeting with experienced binder designers and pattern makers to help us get the fit right from the beginning.
Once we start, the first sample should take about two weeks. Thank you for being so patient through a summer of calls, meetings, and a lot of searching. Now we finally get to the fun part: making it!
We’re hiring a part-time video editor intern! (PAID) 🎬
We’re looking for someone who loves short-form content, understands pacing, and is probably a little *too* online. We care less about a perfect résumé and more about curiosity, quick turnaround, openness to feedback, and excitement about Liberare’s mission.
It’s 5–10 paid hours per week, remote, with the opportunity to grow into additional hours and responsibilities.
CapCut experience is a plus, but being a fast learner matters more!
I’ve been reaching out to sample houses across the U.S. to find someone who understands both compression garments AND real plus-size grading to make our first pattern.
It’s been harder than I expected to find! Turns out it’s rare!
This project hasn’t stalled; I’m still following leads behind the scenes! And if this route doesn’t work, I’ll find another one! I’m not giving up on this binder.
