Hi, I’m Jared. I make hunting and fishing videos because it’s what saved me from the grind. The outdoors taught me that there’s more to life than the levees we build around ourselves.
Out there, I learned who I really am—raw, stripped down, no pretenses. Even more than the catch or the kill, it’s about pushing past the comfort zone and finding something real. I want others to feel that. To grab the rod or the shotgun and walk into the wild, even if it scares the hell out of them. Because that’s where you find out what you’re made of.
Where the levees end, the fun begins!

Well folks the algorithm is not showing my videos to subscribers again. I'm sorry about that. I have no control over it. Here's this week's video in hopes that you find it.

Don’t forget to watch my latest video. A masterclass on catching redfish in shallow water with Captain Chad Dufrene. Conditions weren’t great but we put it together.

This was 9 years ago today. Before YouTube I spent several years behind the camera. We’d go to every corner of Louisiana and then some. Being behind the camera I watched very carefully as some of Louisiana’s most skilled outdoorsmen put together a day on the water or in the woods. Every shoot was a master class for me in fishing, hunting, boating, and on camera skills. I wouldn’t trade those years for the world. They made me the YouTuber I am today.

This video came out a couple months ago and it’s one of those ones I think got missed. Admittedly the original thumbnail wasn’t very good- this one is much better 🤣 Let’s see if we can help it get something going

YouTube Memberships Are Now Live
I’ve officially activated memberships on my YouTube channel. Nothing is changing with the content—all videos will remain free and accessible to everyone, no matter your ability to financially support the channel. Memberships are simply a way for those who want to chip in to do so—think of it like a digital tip jar. If you enjoy what I’m doing and want to help me keep it going, becoming a member is a great way to show that support.
In return, I’ll be sharing occasional behind-the-scenes photos, ideas I'm working on, and bits of my life that don’t always make it into the main videos. If you're looking to connect on a more real, supportive level—this is the place. The regular YouTube comments section, while sometimes encouraging, has become a noisy mess of negativity and pointless criticism. I’d rather spend my time talking with people who are in my corner, not arguing with strangers who aren’t happy with themselves.
There’s no pressure to join. Just watching, liking, and sharing my videos is already a huge help. But if you’re looking for a deeper connection and a way to support this journey, memberships are now open. Let’s keep building this the right way.

Would you watch a series of videos about restoring an old fishing boat? This would be pretty different from my normal content. There would be no catch and cook element. It would be videos of working on the boat and maybe some local history to accompany it. It would be an expensive and time consuming endeavor so I could only take it on if it makes sense for the channel. Let me know what yall think.
