TRAGIC INCIDENT IN MIYAPUR

Young Nurse Found Dead in Rented Apartment

Hyderabad, Miyapur:
A tragic incident was reported in the Miyapur Maktha area where a 20-year-old nurse was found dead in her rented residence on Tuesday night.

The deceased, identified as Sonu Bhai, a native of Narayankhed village in Medak district, was working at First Health Labs in Miyapur. She was reportedly staying in a rented 2BHK apartment in the same locality.

According to preliminary information, she had been facing personal distress related to a relationship over the past few months. The incident occurred at her residence late last night.

Colleagues who noticed the situation immediately shifted her to a nearby hospital, but doctors confirmed that she had passed away before arrival. The body was later shifted to Gandhi Hospital for postmortem examination.

Police have registered a case and initiated an investigation into the matter.

కేపీహెచ్‌బీ పోలీస్ స్టేషన్ పరిధిలో మిస్సింగ్ అయిన మొబైల్ ఫోన్లను పోలీసులు గుర్తించి యజమానులకు అందజేశారు. కేపీహెచ్‌బీ ఏసీపీ ఈ. రవి కిరణ్ రెడ్డి పర్యవేక్షణలో కేపీహెచ్‌బీ క్రైమ్ టీం పోలీసులు సీఈఐఆర్ పోర్టల్ ద్వారా శోధన చేపట్టి 23 మొబైల్ ఫోన్లను ట్రేస్ చేశారు. వీటి మొత్తం విలువ సుమారు రూ.4.50 లక్షలు ఉంటుందని తెలిపారు. ఈ ఫోన్లను ఈ రోజు కేపీహెచ్‌బీ ఇన్‌స్పెక్టర్ రాజశేఖర్ రెడ్డి యజమానులకు అందజేయగా, వారు పోలీసులకు కృతజ్ఞతలు తెలిపారు.

ఈయన పేరు దేబాబ్రత మొహంతి. ఒడిశాలోని కటక్ సర్కిల్ మైన్స్ డిపార్ట్‌మెంట్‌కి డిప్యూటీ డైరెక్టర్. ఒక బొగ్గు వ్యాపారి నుంచి ఫిబ్రవరి 24వ తేదీ రాత్రి రూ.30 వేలు లంచం తీసుకుంటుండగా ఒడిశా విజిలెన్స్ అధికారులు పట్టుకున్నారు. మొహంతి లంచాలు బాగా మరిగాడని తెలుసుకున్న విజిలెన్స్ అధికారులు.. కటక్‌లోని ఆయన ఫ్లాట్‌తో పాటు ఆఫీస్ ఛాంబర్‌లో, భద్రక్‌లో ఉన్న ఆయన తల్లిదండ్రుల ఇంట్లో సోదాలు నిర్వహించారు. అక్కడ దొరికిన లిక్విడ్ క్యాష్ చూసి విజిలెన్స్ అధికారులకు దిమ్మ తిరిగిపోయింది. ట్రాలీ బ్యాగులు, అల్మరాలలో ఏకంగా 4 కోట్ల రూపాయల నగదు బయటపడింది. 130 గ్రాముల బంగారం సీజ్ చేశారు. ఆఫీసు డ్రాయర్‌లో మరో లక్షా 20 వేల రూపాయలు దొరికాయి. ఇక భువనేశ్వర్‌లో రెండస్తుల భవనం కూడా ఉందని గుర్తించారు. ఈయన ఆస్తులు ఇంకా ఉండొచ్చనే అనుమానంతో సోదాలు కొనసాగిస్తున్నారు. అయితే, ఒడిశా విజిలెన్స్ చరిత్రలో ఇంత పెద్ద మొత్తంలో లిక్విడ్ క్యాష్ దొరకడం ఇదే తొలిసారి అట.

సైబరాబాద్ 24వ ఆవిర్భావ దినోత్సవ వేడుకల సందర్భంగా ఈరోజు సైబరాబాద్ పోలీస్ కమిషనర్ డాక్టర్ ఎం. రమేష్, జాతీయ పతాకాన్ని ఆవిష్కరించి, పోలీస్ అధికారులకు, సిబ్బందికి శుభాకాంక్షలు తెలిపారు.

ఈ సందర్భంగా సీపీ మాట్లాడుతూ.. సైబరాబాద్ మెట్రోపాలిటన్ చట్టం ప్రకారం 2003లో స్థాపించిన సైబరాబాద్ పోలీస్ కమిషనరేట్, వేగంగా అభివృద్ధి చెందుతున్న పట్టణ ప్రాంతానికి సేవలందిస్తున్న ప్రముఖ అర్బన్ పోలీసింగ్ వ్యవస్థగా నిలిచిందని గుర్తుచేశారు. నాటి తొలి సైబరాబాద్ పోలీస్ కమిషనర్‌గా ఎం. మహేందర్ రెడ్డి బాధ్యతలు స్వీకరించారని, ఈ 23 ఏళ్ల ప్రస్థానంలో ప్రాంత అభివృద్ధిలో పోలీసుల కష్టం, స్వేదం, త్యాగం కీలక పాత్ర పోషించాయన్నారు. సైబరాబాద్ లో నిర్మించిన ప్రతీ కట్టడంలో, జరిగిన ప్రతి అభివృద్ధి పనుల్లో సైబరాబాద్ పోలీసుల సేవలు చిరస్థాయిగా, అజరామరంగా నిలిచిపోయాని, జాతీయ పతాకం సాక్షిగా ప్రజాసేవకు మరింత అంకితభావంతో పనిచేయాలని సంకల్పం వ్యక్తం చేశారు.

సాంకేతికతను వినియోగిస్తూ ఆధునిక పోలీసింగ్‌లో సైబరాబాద్ కమిషనరేట్ దేశ, అంతర్జాతీయ స్థాయిలో గుర్తింపు పొందిందని సీపీ తెలిపారు. పునర్విభజనల నేపథ్యంలో, జనాభా, విస్తీర్ణం ఆధారంగా ‘కోర్ అర్బన్ రీజన్ (CURE)’ని మూడు జోన్లుగా విభజించడం జరుగిందని, మున్సిపల్ అడ్మినిస్ట్రేషన్‌తో సమన్వయం పెంచుతూ పోలీస్ స్టేషన్లు, డివిజన్లను మున్సిపల్ వార్డులు, సర్కిళ్లకు అనుసంధానం చేస్తున్నట్లు చెప్పారు.

సైబరాబాద్ పోలీసులు టెక్నాలజీ ఆధారిత కమాండ్ కంట్రోల్ సిస్టమ్స్, సైబర్ క్రైమ్ దర్యాప్తులు, ట్రాఫిక్ నిర్వహణ, కమ్యూనిటీ పోలీసింగ్, పబ్లిక్ –ప్రైవేట్ భాగస్వామ్యాల ద్వారా దేశవ్యాప్తంగా ఆదర్శంగా నిలిచాయన్నారు. సైబరాబాద్ పోలీసుల ప్రొఫెషనల్ నైపుణ్యాలకు జాతీయ స్థాయి పురస్కారాలు లభించాయన్నారు. సైబరాబాద్ ప్రాంతం దేశ జీడీపీకి గణనీయంగా తోడ్పడుతున్నదని, ఐటీ, ఫైనాన్షియల్ డిస్ట్రిక్ట్, ఫార్మా, బయోటెక్నాలజీ, ఎంఎస్‌ఎంఈలు, మౌలిక సదుపాయాల అభివృద్ధి, రియల్ ఎస్టేట్ రంగాల వృద్ధికి పోలీసులు కల్పించే భద్రతే పునాది అని సీపీ స్పష్టం చేశారు. ఔటర్ రింగ్ రోడ్ నుంచి ఎయిర్‌పోర్ట్ వరకు భద్రతా వ్యవస్థ బలోపేతం అయ్యిందని, 23 ఏళ్ల ప్రగతి ప్రతిబింబించే ప్రత్యేక వీడియోను ఆవిష్కరించినున్నట్లు తెలిపారు. అలాగే, సైబరాబాద్ ఇప్పటివరకు కమిషనరేట్‌లో సేవలందించిన మాజీ పోలీస్ కమిషనర్లను సన్మానించనున్నట్లు తెలిపారు.

సైబర్ నేరాలు, పెరుగుతున్న రోడ్డు ప్రమాదాలు ప్రధాన సవాళ్లుగా ఉన్నాయని సీపీ తెలిపారు. యుద్ధాల కంటే రోడ్డు ప్రమాదాల్లోనే ఎక్కువ మంది ప్రాణాలు కోల్పోతున్నారన్నారు. పెరుగుతున్న జనాభాకు అనుగుణంగా భద్రతా వ్యవస్థను మరింత పటిష్టం చేయాలని పేర్కొన్నారు. ఇతర రాష్ట్రాల నుంచి ఉపాధి, వ్యాపారం, పనుల కోసం వచ్చిన లక్షలాది మంది వలస కార్మికుల భద్రత, సంక్షేమం పోలీసుల బాధ్యత అని చెప్పారు. వారికి ఇన్సూరెన్స్, మెడికల్ కేర్ వంటి సదుపాయాలు నిబంధనల ప్రకారం అందించాల్సిందేనని, సొసైటీ ఫర్ సైబరాబాద్ సెక్యూరిటీ కౌన్సిల్ ఆధ్వర్యంలో మరిన్ని సంక్షేమ కార్యక్రమాలు చేపడతామని తెలిపారు. సేవ, ప్రవర్తన ద్వారా ప్రజల విశ్వాసం గెలవాలని, ‘కమ్యూనిటీ కనెక్ట్’ కార్యక్రమాల ద్వారా అన్ని వర్గాల ప్రజలకు పోలీసులు తోడుగా ఉన్నారన్న భరోసా కల్పించాలని అన్నారు. సైబరాబాద్ లో ప్రత్యేక నేర విభాగాలు, సైబర్ ఎన్ ఫోర్స్ మెంట్ యూనిట్లు, ప్రజలతో భాగస్వామ్య కార్యక్రమాల ద్వారా భద్రతను మరింతగా బలోపేతం చేస్తున్నామన్నారు.

కార్యక్రమంలో భాగంగా సీపీ ఆఫీసు ప్రాంగణంలో సీపీ మొక్క నాటారు. అనంతరం ధీర, వీర, ధృవ, భీమ, రాఖీ, తేజ, మౌని, లైకా పోలీసు జాగిలాల గౌరవ వందనం సమర్పించాయి. ఇండియన్ రెడ్ క్రాస్ సొసైటీ ఆధ్వర్యంలో సీపీ కార్యాలయ ఆవరణలో ఏర్పాటు చేసిన రక్తదాన శిబిరంలో పోలీసు సిబ్బంది స్వచ్ఛందంగా రక్తదానం చేశారు. ఫార్మేషన్ డే సందర్భంగా నార్సింగి సైకిల్ ట్రాక్ పై ప్రజలతో కలిసి పోలీసులు ప్రజలతో కలిసి సైక్లింగ్ చేశారు.

సైబరాబాద్ కమిషనరేట్ పరిధిలోని పోలీస్ స్టేషన్లలో జాతీయ జెండాను ఆవిష్కరించారు. బాచుపల్లి పోలీస్ స్టేషన్‌లో పాఠశాల విద్యార్థులతో కలిసి కేక్ కట్ చేయగా, రాయదుర్గం పోలీసులు మణికొండ ప్రభుత్వ పాఠశాలలోని 500 మంది విద్యార్థులకు పుస్తకాలు అందజేశారు. జీడిమెట్ల, మేడ్చల్ పరిధిలో పోలీసులు ఆసుపత్రులు, ఆశ్రమాలను సందర్శించి రోగులకు, మానసిక వికలాంగులకు పండ్లు పంపిణీ చేశారు. అలాగే ట్రాఫిక్ పోలీసులు ట్రాఫిక్ నిబంధనలపై పలు అవగాహన కార్యక్రమాలు చేశారు.

*"Community policing strengthens public trust"*

Cyberabad, Feb. 12: The Cyberabad Police Commissionerate observed its 24th Formation Day on Wednesday, with Commissioner of Police Dr. M. Ramesh unfurling the national flag and extending greetings to officers and personnel, while reaffirming the force’s commitment to citizen-centric policing.

Recalling the commissionerate’s establishment in 2003, Dr. Ramesh said Cyberabad has grown into a model of contemporary urban policing, supporting one of the country’s fastest-developing economic regions. He credited successive leadership and the sustained efforts of personnel for ensuring that policing remains a foundational pillar behind infrastructure growth and urban expansion.

Highlighting technology-driven initiatives, the Commissioner referred to advanced command-and-control systems, cybercrime investigation capabilities, scientific traffic management and structured community policing programmes. Administrative restructuring under the Core Urban Region framework, he noted, was aimed at improving coordination with municipal authorities and strengthening operational efficiency.

CP observed that Cyberabad’s policing ecosystem — anchored in professionalism and public-private partnerships — has earned national recognition. With the region contributing significantly to the country’s GDP through its IT, financial, pharmaceutical and industrial sectors, he stressed that a robust security framework is essential for sustained development, including along key urban corridors.

Addressing emerging challenges, the Commissioner identified cybercrime and road safety as priority areas requiring sustained attention. He emphasised adaptive policing in response to demographic growth and migration, stating that the welfare and security of migrant workers remain an institutional responsibility. Community engagement initiatives and welfare programmes undertaken with partner organisations aim to reinforce public trust, he added.

As part of the observances, the Commissioner planted a sapling at the headquarters, police canine units presented a salute, and personnel participated in a voluntary blood donation camp organised in association with the Indian Red Cross Society. A community cycling event at the Narsingi cycle track marked public participation in the celebrations.

Formation Day programmes were conducted across police stations within the commissionerate, including student outreach, distribution of books, hospital visits and traffic awareness drives. Special initiatives promoting responsible driving were organised in Miyapur and Ramachandrapuram, while plantation and community service activities underscored the civic spirit of the occasion.

Senior officers, including Kukatpally DCP Ritiraj, Serilingampally DCP Ch. Srinivas, Administration DCP T. Annapurna, Crimes DCP Muthyam Reddy, Special Branch DCP Y.V.S. Sudheendra, Cyber Crime DCP Sai Manohar, SOT DCP Shobhan Kumar, Traffic-1 DCP Ranjan Ratan Kumar, and CAR Headquarters DCP Sanjeev, along with other officers and personnel, were present.
