Hey collector,

Here’s a quick one for you:

💥 Wheat Cents — Some 1955s and 1943s are worth hundreds because of die errors most people overlook.
💥 $1 Bills (2013 Series) — Two different runs created matching serial pairs that can be worth thousands together.

We almost got scammed in Cozumel 😳💰

While souvenir shopping in Cozumel, a vendor pulled out a roll-up filled with “14k gold” bracelets and necklaces. Something felt off — the shine, the weight, and the price.

When I asked how much per gram, he said $45/gram. Big red flag 🚩 — real 14k gold was melting around $65/gram at the time. That means he was “selling” it below melt value, which never happens with real gold.

Turns out the pieces were either gold plated or costume jewelry, and someone could’ve easily spent $500 on something worthless.

Because of our background in gold, silver, coins, and paper money, we knew exactly what to look for.

👉 If you want to avoid getting ripped off and actually learn how to tell real from fake, that’s what we do inside the Coin Value Club — a community of collectors and experts ready to help.

💬 Posts are answered within hours (never longer than 24), and membership is just $25/month — way cheaper than getting scammed once.

Would you have spotted the fake?

Read this before Spending your $1 bills.

2013 was one of the strangest years in U.S. currency history.

Two different Federal Reserve Banks — New York (B) and San Francisco (L) — accidentally printed identical serial numbers on $1 bills.

That means some bills exist in pairs with the same exact number — and collectors will pay thousands for a matched set.

Here’s what to look for:

Series: 2013
District Letters: B or L
Serial Number Ranges:
• B00000001★ – B00250000★ and B03200001★ – B09600000★
• L00000001★ – L03500000★ and L03600001★ – L09600000★

✅ Check your wallet, drawers, and old stacks
✅ Look for the 2013 date and the district letter
✅ Compare your serial number to the ranges above

Even single notes from those ranges can bring a nice premium — but if you find the matching pair, that’s the jackpot.

Wheat cents were minted from 1909–1958.

They’re called “Wheaties” because of the wheat stalks on the reverse.

The most valuable? The 1909-S VDB, worth over $1,000+ even in average condition.

Key dates to check: 1914-D, 1922 no D, 1931-S, and 1955 doubled die.

Even common dates can bring 5¢–25¢ each in bulk.

Uncirculated rolls can be worth hundreds.

Always check for mintmarks, that small letter under the date makes all the difference.

Denver (D) and San Francisco (S) issues are often scarcer than Philadelphia (no mintmark).

And don’t overlook errors, off-centers, die cracks, and double strikes bring serious premiums.

Collectors are paying up for bright red “uncirculated” examples certified by PCGS or NGC.

Bottom line: if you’ve got old jars of pennies lying around, don’t cash them in just yet.

P.S. Want to learn which Wheat Cents to pull, how to grade them, and what they’re really worth?

Most people think $2 bills are rare...

...but the truth is, the U.S. has printed over a billion of them.

The real magic is in the details.

👉 Here are a few quick facts you might not know:

• Red Seal $2 Bills (1928–1963): These older notes were issued as United States Notes instead of Federal Reserve Notes. That little red seal makes them collectible today.

• 1976 $2 Bills: Released for America’s Bicentennial — they came with a brand-new reverse design showing the signing of the Declaration of Independence.

• Modern $2 Bills: Still printed in small runs today, but you almost never see them in circulation because banks don’t request them often.

So, while most $2 bills you find are only worth face value, the right series or condition can make a big difference.

Inside Coin Value Club, we go deep into notes like this every week with worksheets, real-world finds, and collector insights.

Plus...

... joining in October locks in your 3 bonus giveaway entries (the most you’ll ever get).

P.S. Don’t sleep on your $2 bills. Even a small stack can hold some surprising treasures.
