📜 BY ROYAL DECREE (AND ALSO YOUTUBE): THE TAVERN IS BACK! 🍺

hi friends! 🦊❤️ I wanted to give you all an update and share some great news I got today! Youtube has officially reversed the strike against my channel and have welcomed me back into the Youtube Partner Program! Thanks for putting up with the cold stew and stale bread, but now the lanterns are lit, the ale is flowing again and we are SO BACK! Jokes aside, I am sooo grateful to everyone, all the messages of support and kindness, giving me hope to keep writing. And a special thank you to the folks who've kept me afloat on Patreon, the recent videos wouldn't have been possible without you. I owe you guys a pint for sure.

Very sorry for not being around as much recently, having to delete all my old videos off Youtube hit me harder emotionally than I'd expected. So if i've missed some of your more recent comments, I am deeply sorry and please know that your passion for these stories has kept me motivated and gave me the drive to fight and get my channel back.

"That's great Fox, the stew is lovely, so what does this mean for the channel?" Well, what this means is that:
1. I'll be going back to more frequent uploads
2. This new format is working, and it is much, much less prone to being stolen by the spam and AI slop channels. So all my old stuff will remain Patreon exclusive (I have no plans of reuploading them as is, because they've been copied so much by dozens of spam channels that I fear re-uploading them will flag my channel as the copycat and cause ridiculous copyright issues 🙄).
3. HOWEVER 😀 I will be regularly completely remaking some of the older videos that you enjoyed the most and upload them in this new format based on what Patreon members vote for; so essentially re-written from the ground up with additional content, full visuals with commissioned, custom art - all the bells and whistles! I feel i've improved a lot in my writing and storytelling over the last couple years, so this gives me an opportunity to flesh out these stories and make them way better.
4. And this also means that I can now hopefully start saving up for a new computer and equipment since my rig is struggling badly lol, and keep delivering the content you guys deserve & more.


Oh and thanks for voting on what video you want to see next over on Patreon! I'm working on the Intro to D&D video right now and am having so much fun with it!

I want to say thank you again for all the kind words, the support, the love, and the grace you've shown me as I sorted this out. I really didn't imagine 3 months ago when I got the news that I'd have so many lovely people rally around me the way that you have. Sending you all tons and tons of love. IMPORTANT CHANNEL UPDATE:

hi friends 🦊 new video will be posted later today - sorry for the wait, my computer is on its last legs so editing was an uphill battle but hopefully worth it! In other news; I wanted to give you all an update about the channel since i know loads of you have been waiting to hear back! so a couple of months ago, Youtube had struck my channel, and after several appeals that were rejected, it seems like the only option i've got left is to remove my old videos off the platform.





What this means practically: all videos prior to February of 2026 will be deleted and can only be found on my Patreon for members. Any videos I've made after that date will still be up and available to everyone, as will any videos I make moving forward!



This obviously makes me really sad, I'm super proud of the stories I've written and shared, and all the characters you've come to love. I will still continue their respective series of course like the Apothecary and the Noir Tales and all that good stuff. It's not an easy call to make, but I do feel it's the right move forward for the future and overall health of the channel. i think you all can see the tremendous effort and love I've put into the new videos, and you can continue to expect that level of quality (and higher!) moving forward.





Hopefully it gets me back in Youtube's good graces so I can keep doing what I love. And to everyone who's been supporting me over on Patreon, keeping the lights on, and making all the new videos possible, I am so deeply grateful and hope to offer even more perks in the very near future.

Elsie and Thistle's adventures continue, this time taking them quite a ways from the Hearth and Herb Apothecary in Elderwood! A new town, a mysterious druid, and plenty of opportunities for Elsie to show off her alchemy chops. It's longer than usual, since it's had a bit more time in the oven to cook. I'm just waiting on some commissioned art, and once I've got all the visuals in place, the full video will hopefully be out on Youtube later this month. Hope you enjoy!

IMPORTANT UPDATE:

hi friends 🦊 unfortunately Youtube has struck my channel for something called “inauthentic content” (meaning mass produced/no value/spam content). i'm pretty gutted as anyone who’s watched my videos knows the time, love, and effort i put into writing these stories, little worlds and characters, as well as all the research that goes into the lore videos. i'm fairly certain this is a mistake as part of cleaning up the site (a whole load of you know about the copy cats stealing my vids and just the general bombardment of slop thats taken root in storytelling). I saw this happen recently to a lot of gaming channels that I watch as well, and a whole bunch of genuine, authentic folks got swept up in this mess.

As for what this means for the channel, I want to let you know that I’m not going anywhere. This is my passion; its been one of the most fulfilling bits of my life for the better part of two years. And the community we’ve built here in our little tavern is not one that ill ever give up on. but the reality is that it costs money to run this channel, and commission folks (for example with regards to editing and some of the art) to help me get these videos out weekly.

I’ll be aiming to make better, longer stories and add a whole bunch more visuals as part of the videos too, but the release schedule will pretty much have to be “whenever the video is done”. My hope is that this is around one video every 2-3 weeks.

Times are rough for everyone right now, so please take care of yourself first and foremost. If you want to support the channel further, you can check out my Patreon. videos will get posted there first and then go on Youtube later.
