Ahmed Sarsour, a Sudanese-Palestinian poet, fled war in Sudan in 2023 and now finds himself trapped in Gaza, where he uses poetry and social media to convey the harsh realities of life under siege.

Ahmed broadcasts live from Gaza to share his work, in an attempt to humanise Palestinians and communicate his lived experience to a wider audience. Streaming from Gaza is made possible by using two mobile phones, with rechargeable battery packs being utilised to power each device.

Using Discord as a platform to organise, Ahmed founded "Ahmed's Nation", where he has built a team of volunteers to help amplify his voice and share his poetry.
